My trainee spinner popped in Concistency... whoopee!

He got there in the end:

Adeem Sajjad - 19 yo, BT Rating=32,205
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, lively
An attacking player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: strong Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: superb Concentration: competent
Bowling: superb Consistency: proficient
Fielding: mediocre

Now for a very quiet period!

My Week 1 trainee, now popped in everything except batting, which I would hope will be next week

Phillip Evelyn - 17 yo, BT Rating=6,705
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: respectable Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

My spinner popped in Concentration as well, now up to Woeful, put together with his Abysmal Batting he might make number 10 in the order.

PS Dave - not one of your best titles

One batting pop to strong - 18 year old
One pop to competent - 17 year old on first net, who only got a net as I'm trying to cash in on a respectable who popped last week and didnt want to train him again in case he sells.

My third best batsmen popped to quality. I haven't been keeping particularly good records, but I think that is two weeks earlier than I was expecting (15 weeks for a 21year old? Although most of those training sessions were as a 20 year old).

I'll now finish training up my second best batsmen to quality and hopefully have time for a couple of weeks on stamina before the end of the season.

My 3rd spinner is up to feeble fitness. He didn't get his Bo pop. Hopefully next week when my 2nd best batsman should pop to stong.

Not a pop but a pull.

Got a 17yo respectable-mediocre bowler with competent(?) stamina. Is listed, current bidding was £51,000 last time I checked.

As I just paid £30,000 for repairs to my youth academy and then invested the maximum ITS in him, would be nice to see it above £100,000.

I got my first half-decent youth pull this season. After 4 mediocre players with full ITS it was typical it came with 0 ITS.

Brendan Edge - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,194
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: worthless
Bowling: competent Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Could be a half-decent all-rounder (although concentration and consistency will never be that great). If only I'd given him some ITS!

Well not a bad week for me

My soon to turn Wonderful Batsman

3. Mo Harrad (62042)

Plays For: Gambero C.C.
Nationality: England
Age: 21 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 49,838 (+1268)

Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: remarkable Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: worthless Consistency: strong
Fielding: woeful

My leading bowler

6. Melvin Sherwood (317917)

Plays For: Gambero C.C.
Nationality: England
Age: 20 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 31,523 (+441)

Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: feeble Concentration: woeful
Bowling: remarkable Consistency: superb
Fielding: mediocre

and finally my all rounder.

14. Dennis Borrell (267551)

Plays For: Gambero C.C.
Nationality: England
Age: 20 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 36,713 (+715)

Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: superb Concentration: superb
Bowling: strong Consistency: proficient
Fielding: feeble

And as I have never trained players with the multiple sessions of the same skill I feel that I am starting to reap the benefits of having a good all round team rather than just one or two stars.

Bring on the FC games.

Very, very nice BC. Don't suppose you fancy selling any of them?

Strength in depth is definitely important. I've followed a similar training philosophy to you and haven't until recently doubled up on any skill. I'm sure that was the way to start off. I'm now at the stage where I've got a team where pretty much everyone is at least strong - only one batsman who stopped at proficient and one proficient bowler who is still being trained. By the early part of next season I hope to have all but two players at least superb.

Now I've got my base, I can think about training up/buying superstars.

Nathan San - 20 yo, BT Rating=45,177
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A defensive player with abysmal leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: competent Concentration: superb
Bowling: respectable Consistency: wonderful
Fielding: proficient

Kieren Mccoy - 20 yo, BT Rating=18,590
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with abysmal leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: abysmal Concentration: strong
Bowling: strong Consistency: respectable
Fielding: mediocre

Carlos Askew - 19 yo, BT Rating=39,402
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: superb
Batting: respectable Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent
Fielding: feeble

McCoy can finally finish training and let San get his bowling up to proficient (he's over halfway there anyway). Sutherland had a week off training this week and sits at lively fitness on Monday, should be energetic for this weeks match so we may finally see him perform!

Finally got a batting pop out of my week 1 trainee

Phillip Evelyn - 17 yo, BT Rating=7,424
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: proficient Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: worthless

Also got an experience pop for one of my non-trainees as well, following his maiden 50, although he had already scored a ton.

Dougie Thackeray - 24 yo, BT Rating=7,534
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: respectable
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: feeble

Missed out on a fielding pop for one of my bowlers, but as he popped in the 1st week of the season, the timings might be slightly out due to the player ageing.
