Question Painting

sufc_tom

Striker
I'm going to be painting my walls soon and I just wanted to know if I need to sand down the walls before I start (walls already have paint on them) and what's the best type of paint? Thanks in advance :)

It depends on what condition they are in really Tom, i find that a gentle scratching of the existing paint will (a) provide much better adhesion for the new stuff (b) show up any areas of flaking on the old surface and (c) ensure any bits of bit/dust which wont take well with the new paint will be removed

As for brand?? personal choice but i always use Dulux or Crown, i'd certainly avoid "own brand" paints as the coverage is generally so much lower and so provides false economy

Thanks the walls are in pretty good condition just fed up of the colour :)

And I will use a brand paint never really fan of cheap s***
