Going paintball for a mates stag doo this weekend.

This will be my first venture paintballing so any advice on how to approach it would be greatly received.

Dont even think about defence - just go out and attack if you want to make the most of your day. Defending is boring, wastes pellets and gets you nowhere!

Shoot & MOVE as a pair/group, keep the opponents on the back foot.

Also, everyone goes 'mad' at the start of the day & have nothing left by mid afternoon...........

]Double layers in case some nasty ******* freezes the paint balls overnight. Don't waste your money on paint grenades but the smoke bombs are good. Never climb up watch towers or elevated props, it will just make you a sitting target. And avoid the crowd as thats where the attack force will head for because they make the most noise. Most modern paint guns aim quite well so don't give it Rambo as you just waste ammo and it costs you a fortune. I have found that shouting 'FIX BAYNOUTS' and playing Flight of the Valkaries puts the wind up the opposition as well as screaming 'AT 100 YARDS..........FIRE!!! I always wanted to turn up with zulu shields and grass skirts but none of the local places would allow it. Shame that, just imagine it...

Work in a little team and cover each other. I thought I wouldn't get into to it but amazing how quick you are devising manoeuvres! Wear extra layers as they can hurt a little. Sturdy shoes as mentioned. You'll enjoy it though, I've been twice and loved it both times, best if a big gang of you.

Wimps! Tee shirt, trousers and the overalls they give you, I wore an old pair of trainers that I just chucked end of the day. Adrenaline kicks in aswell, good fun all in all :)

Concealment does not equal cover.

Hunt in fireteams of 2/4, one pinning down the enemy whilst the others move to flank.

You should join the army.

Mutual support, it's vital. If you are moving, someone else should be firing to cover you. As for how long you should make your bounds, remember this. You're up, he's seen you, get down.' Repeat as necessary.

Stats, I'll give you a call. Sorry for not getting back to you. x
