Overall Player Perfomance for the season.

Just my Opinion of course

Flavs ~ Great shot stopper ..Lacked commanding in the Box.
Hammell~ Bit of a hit and miss season..I dont think the injury helped but still looks promising.
Francis~ Joins the Ranks of Above. Shows promise Maybe ok for next year.
Che ~ Nothing much to say . Out of his league and was abysmal when needed.
Barrett ~ Outstanding shame we lost him in such an important part of the season.
Efe ~ Did his bit and was a class act at times but to many errors.
Clarke ~ Started off poo and was played in ridiculous rolls...Top Top player now.
Spinner ~ Great man, did fantastic against Manure. Age was never on his side..A true Legend.
Hunt ~ Versatile ...But lacks pace and looks out of place now.
Gower~ Did very well from midfield and his goals this year showed he is still a Player to admire.
Moussa~ To early to say but shows great promise.
Macca ~Great fighter but thats about it ....Gets far to many bookings and he is no good on the sidelines.
Maher ~Inspirational..He may be Crab like at times but he is our true leader.
Foran ~No idea yet...Looked good for the first two games then went downhill but he seems to have some grit about him.
Harrold ~ Sorry nice chap I'm sure but a waste of space.
Hooper~ Maybe one for the future.
Paynter ~ Got slated from the start I know ..but didn't rearly want to be in Southend. Good luck to him elsewhere.
Bradbury~ He is a Trier but way way out of place in our team..Looks like Conference material to me.
Eastwood..... I think we are living on past glories here..Great to have 16 goals this year and for sure needed a decent striker to help him ...But Poor Poor heart this year .Hope he does well in his future.
Jcr~ Outstanding at times I just wish he would put the ball in earlier..to many back tracks..But so so a player that helps defend as well as attack.

Ricketts and the rest I cant be bothered to talk about.

Thoughts?

Think you're being well too harsh on Macca there. Yeah he's got discipline issues but his arrival sparked improved performances throughout the side.

but then in recent weeks he hasn't really been too great.. was probably our quietest player yesterday in a game that was there for the taking after the first went in

Bugga I forgot him. I knew there was one I left out sorry, Edited now thanx.

I would have to say Maher, gower then JCR for my top 3 this season, maybe a bit harsh on Eastwood but just feel to many times he didn't perform to his ability. Just showed yesterday how much we miss maher IMO.

Also if Macca had been here all year then he would replace JCR in top 3.

One think Lewis Hunt doesn't lack is pace and Harrold is more of a conference player than Bradbury.

Pretty much agree with what you say - but think you're a bit too harsh on all the strikers for example Bradbury definitely isn't Conference material.

I think my player of the year has to be Mark Gower simply because I genuinely didn't think he would cope in the Championship. But he has been one of our best players.

So simply by proving me wrong he is my player of the season.

If Francis played like he did the last few games for the whole season then I think he would be a contender also. I think we will see some great things from him in League 1 as he has definitely matured over the season.

Watch Francis on the coverage of the Tranmere game on last season's Destination Championship DVD, very much at home in L1 so could be a key player for us next season!

Harrold scored nine goals for Yeovil the season we went up to the Championship - the same total as the much-lauded Wayne Gray managed for us - so he can clearly hack it at League 1 level.
