or are you still subject to irrational outbursts of relegation rage ?

recent examples of outbursts of ranting relegation rage -

1/ cricket on the SUFC website - don't want to know about that ever - it even suggests people might be smiling and having fun - NOT INTERESTED - this is supoosed to be a football club not a circus!!

2/ anyone mentioning next years fixtures - have they no shame - Orient, Millwall - NO STADIUM of LIGHT then - some even sound like they might
be looking forward to going to mickey mouse-ville

3/ anyone mentioning football, Southend, Freddy Eastwood - and in particular any word on Leeds United - why talk about them all the time ? so effing what.

4/ friendly word from Brighton fan - eff off - Withdean looks like a public park.

5/ "we might stay up" Hammers -

6/ people who say "you got relegated then" - yeah really - see it the papers did you ?

7/ really effing annoying, top of the list annoying, pass me the pills annoying
"are you still going to Southampton?"

8/ anyone at all who says "its alright"

I'm quite over it now. I've trained myself well, I have been telling myself since last April that we should just enjoy this season, the away trips, the odd big result and don't expect too much.

For every week since about February I've been infuritatingly trying to work out all possible outcomes of how we can stay up, my productivity has gone right down but on the plus side my maths has improved tenfold.

Saturday was just a relief it was all over. For me, Southend United has been a sheepdog whimpering along with a broken paw for weeks, and on Saturday, the farmers of Luton kindly waited until after dark, led the sheepdog out into the barn at the bottom of the garden, took out a shotgun and blew the mother away.

To be honest I've been pretty much prepared and resigned to the fact that we would be relegated for a few weeks now, since the Col Ewe game at home.

Just looking forward to next season and bouncing back now as soon as possible.

I was prepared since Christmas. seriously. The transfer window confirmed it.

I was prepared when we lost to wolves.. and prepared when we lost to Wolves again and where 10 points adrift.. The rest of the season was merely a cruel taunt with raised then dashed hopes..

No.

The english cricket team sucks.
Having Orient and Millwall as the only away games in london sucks.
Freddy Eastwood leaving Southend United in the summer sucks.
Conceeding a late equaliser to Leeds sucks.
Having to endure brighton fans crawling out of the woodwork to laff at us sucks.
West Ham staying up sucks.
People reminding me that we got relegated sucks.

so, now that we're relegated, are you going to Southampton on sunday?

Ive been resigned to it since Barnsley so ok with it now.

The teams we will be playing wont be as exciting buy hey, hopefully we will see better performances next season and have a bit more to cheer about.

I was quite prepared - the last glimmer of hope died against Barnsley really. Looking forward to winning more games next season.

No not over it at all.
Even punishing the Leyton orient supporter who works here, by giving him pointless tasks to perform in the office is doing nothing to improve my mood.
I shall carry on punishing him until my mood lifts.

The near empty away end next season is going to bring it home to me, I loved the ground being full, I loved looking at the away fixtures and a return to the much described 'character' grounds means nothing to me,been there done that.

It hurts like hell, but as long as the players are in the bars of Southend they are legends. I've never seen players with such happy faces warming up on Saturday,we were going down, but no doubt looking forward to another night on the town.

I sense relief on this board that tickets will be easier to buy, you can stand up more without getting told off, the Spread will be emptier and easier to get served and was'nt it great while it lasted type attitude.

After feeling extremely ****ed off after the Hull debacle I told myself whatever happened I wouldn't get that wound up again.

Of course relegation sucks and of course I would rather be playing in the Championship next season than League One, but the simple fact is we're not!

Ha Ha,
I've been telling myself (and the missus) that same thing for the last 10 years (bar the last couple prior to this one). Unfortunately, it doesnt work!

Well I managed it for the last few games including Col Ewe (yes I amazed myself!).

No way have I come to terms with relegation yet - I'm still trying to get over how we threw it away in the second half at Palace .

Can I help? IMO Orient supporters need as much punishment as possible. I've got loads of menial tasks on hand.

To be honest, I've become far too pragmatic in my new job to have seriously believed that we were going to stay up. Basically, I think there were two possible reasons for being downbeat:

a) we should have stayed up
b) we went down because of a lack of application from players/manager

Frankly, I don't believe either was the case and as a result, I can't be too annoyed about the season. If anything, we lost most of our chance in March where, after a solid January and February, we stuttered and lost momentum that would have carried us safe.
