Our other goalscorer on Saturday

Ron Manager

Guest
Of course all the excitement and talk has been about 'Fredy One D' - and rightly so. However I think Spinner deserves some glory for his first goal since re-joining us and he certainly seemed to enjoy putting one past his old teams rivals. He had been getting a fair bit of stick before then (a few 'You fat *******' chants aimed at him) and his celebrations in front of the away end was just the answer!

Nice one Spinner

Yep, Swansea fans obviously forgot you never have a go at a so called "reject" during the game, especially one who never scores. We all know what happens.

Didn't see many of their "1000" fans in the Spread before the game. Obviously maths is not a subject taught in Welsh schools.

From the very good Rivals report Swansea Rivals report

Its funny how you can tell the difference between a Swans roar and someone else's. Sure enough it turned out that ex-Cardiff Spencer Prior had knocked in a corner. That's what we get for winding him up with shouts of "Scum! Scum! Scum!". Sometimes it works and they get put off their game, this time it was given back with interest

I bet Spinner enjoyed that. Having only Earth TV I've only seem the 3 rather dull Eastwood tap-ins. Spinner's seemed a decent header but he was unmarked. Correct?

I am pleased about what that writer said about Fredy Eastwood, as it confirms that the lad won't interest the Swan's manager.

It's great that Prior scored and this got me to thinking who from our brilliant squad of players have scored so far, this season...

Barratt 6 [5 officially]
Eastwood 3
Bramble 2
Dudfield 2
Gower 2
Gray 2
Bentley 1
Prior 1

This does not include the pens after the ET at ColU. which would make an interesting statistic against last year!!! 7/7.

Anyone else find it just a tad worrying that after one game Fredy is second top scorer

Spinner was immense for the second game running.

He may have had a slightly dodgy start (joining mid pre-season won't have helped) but he's really starting to show his quality and demonstrating what a coup it was to land someone of his class and experience. The fact that he's a local lad proud to wear the shirt just makes it even better.

As I've pointed out before Tilly appears to be following Webby's template for success. A key part of Webb's strategy was having a local centre-half in his second spell at the club where he'd worked his way up through the youths into the first team before leaving to play top flight football....

Another part was picking up a few gems from local non-league football....
