Our defending......ouch

Just seen the goals on the championship and must say that all 4 goals were very soft , the defending was awful , we must deal with balls coming into our box , its a massive issue with us and we will continue to leak easy goals until something is done about it .

Can't wait for harding to regain his place and as stated in a previous thread , unless there is competition for places at the back we will see this casual defending result in the same back 4 being named every week regardless on how bad they play !!!

Having said that , some positives from the games in the sense of the last 20 minutes so please lets continue like that against Leeds .

Although we have had a great run of late and doesn't really sound right moaning off , but i had posted numerous times that away from home we seriously need to buck our ideas up regarding our defending .

Its another 4 goals conceaded and tilly should show that he means business by droppping Francis and Betsy etc if they have played pooorly , yes he might not win awards in the favourtism stakes but at least it looks like he is not going to tolerate the laid back style of defending we seem to produce when on our travels .

If we concead first away then its pretty nailed on that we will lose and ship in the token 3 easy goals to go with it !!

Someone who can actually hit a set piece, clear the first defender and drop the ball in the penalty area would be an improvement too.


Not too much to ask from people who earn their living, take a salary and actually get time to practice this nigh on impossible task I wouldn't have thought!

Makes you wonder how it takes place every Sunday morning in the parks and recreation grounds up and down the country every week from people who in xsome cases never go near a football inbetween games. Beats Me.
