Our contacts with the London Premiership clubs....

.......seem to be improving ? (Well at least it seems that way to me)

Maybe I am mistaken but we have secured the services of some quality players, mostly on loan, in recent seasons from Tottingham, Chelsea, Wet Spam and to a lesser extent Arsenal.

Maybe during this period of 'silence' we have again been using our contacts and are about to secure some more promising youngsters ?

It's probable this will be the case, however these clubs tend to not work out which youngsters to send on loan until the end of this month at the earliest.

My mates son plays for the Under 9's and he told me ages ago we have a link up with Arsenal for a shot at having the players they cut away.

Think Peggy, Jack Morris, and a few of the african surnamed lads came from there.

..and Fulham, although I am not suggesting that Robert Milsom was a quality player.

:D A player from Arsenal I wouldn't object to coming on loan is Jack Wilshere, although I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yes please, although I think we have more chance of signing someone like Sam Sodje or Michael Duberry then bringing Wilshere in.

Our links with the localish London Clubs is definately improving, and we seem to get on well with Reading as well. This is definately an advantage to the Club.

I remember around the time of the Chelsea game, RM went out for dinner with Peter Kenyon I believe, so it shows that links are being created.

From my research for my Dissertation this year I know that the club adopted a "If you can't beat them, join them" attitude towards the London Premiership clubs... So many other clubs react defensively when the bigger clubs encroach on their borders and achieve very little by doing it, only alienating themselves.

By co-operating with them, the inevitable of naturally gifted players joining them happens, but we profit from it far more and it stands in good stead with the club.

I imagine it might put one or two bums on seats as well - I know the spammers I was working with took a lot more interest in our matches once Stanislas came to us on loan.
