So, Hurt Locker pipped Avatar to the best film award...
In one of the very rare occasions that I agree with Mark Kermode, I didn't think the Academy would dare place the Hurt Locker above the highest grosing film of all time for the best film, but the voting system, if you ask me, is designed to make it unpredictable and promote shock winners.
Agree with Christoph Waltz as best supporting actor as well, he was very good as The Jew Hunter in Inglorious Basterds. I actually thought Jeremy Renner was in with a shout for best actor, as he was excellent in The Hurt Locker.
