OperatSponsorship

Shrimp in a Kilt

A lot of people on here have kindly offered to Sponsor Mike (as in Operation Spaniard, pinned above), and we have already received some of the sponsorship. As we need to get this sorted fairly quickly, could I ask those who would like to sponsor him, but have not done so yet, to do it as soon as possible?

Any sum is acceptable, you can pay as little as a pound by Paypal!  If you are planning to post the money, could you PM me to let me know, so I can "count it in"?

Remember, the Trust will benefit from this - ultimately, every pound donated will be a pound in the Trust's coffers!

So in other words, it's not a loan, and those offering loans won't be getting their money back at all as returns will be going straight into the supporter's trust??

It's more like sponsorship. We sponsor Mike so he and Fay can come to the final (with his flag, of course) and when his work situation is sorted out he pays the money over to the Shrimper's Trust. We aren't looking at raising a huge amount here, but rather than just having a whip-round for Mike, we can raise money for the Trust at the same time.

It's a good idea, and I hope for the sake of Mike and the Trust that enough is raised to bring the big man to Cardiff. But other than with members of the trust, I can't really see it catching on.

Maybe as a gesture to those who make a generous donation, the Trust should run free away travel to Grimsby on the last day of the season?

Thanks (I think

) We don't actually need to raise that much, we are talking less than three hundred, and I would hope that we could raise that - as I have said, just a couple of quid would make a difference.

As to free travel to Grimsby, I suspect that that would cost a lot more than the amount we are hoping to raise - anyway, I thought it was the club that subsidised the occasional away trip?
