funny wording on the OS about it being a 'guaranteed' 200k, looks like a response to SZ again...... perhaps it's being paid in instalments, which would mean both yourself and the 25k chap could have technically been right.

theres probably a lot of people that have useful bits of info that read the site but don't post just because of the agg you get in return!!

As i said, the deal would be worth that as it would be money they are guranteed to get, but doesnt mean we have to put it all down up front which you implied!

anyway, who gives a sh*t, lets see what he can do.

I have no opinion on whether the fee is up front or in installments or what, but to be fair, 'a guaranteed £200k' doesn't necessarily mean '£200k up front.'

Last week I said that 2 signings had been made but was shot down in flames by the ankle biters. Walker's took a little longer to announce than the keepers. Just for your guide Wlkers fee is initially 100k then more subject to conditions. But in total 200k

That's a lot of money for an unproven player, but then again if we can waste that sum on players like Paynter & Foran then why not on a hot young prospect.

Caps for England at U7,18 & 19 level bode well as he's only 20 now!

To me that sounds like we havent paid 200k up front but we will do so. I think Ron Martin just wants to make it clear to people we are spending real money.

I had one numpty behind me moan about us putting a 5k substitute on and if Walker only cost an initial £25k people would be moaning we havent spent enough without realising thats only the first payment.

Yeovil rated him so fingers crossed he will be more successful than recent signings up front.
