A new email from David. Its long so I have only posted main bits;
- for a high number of games this season I have had a colleague listen
to the commentary feed and advises me if there are any problems. So far
this season, he hasn't reported any to me.
- I understand that when the away commentary works, it could leave the
impression that there is a specific problem with our commentary but this
isn't necessarily the case. From a technical perspective there are
still many reasons why one commentary would work and the other not work
which isn't related to the actual commentary feed from Perform.
Our only option is to ensure Perform deliver their service but when
challenged they have demonstrated and proven to us that their element of
the service is working. We will continue to monitor Perform very
closely and we will also have 'mystery shoppers' checking the service
each game.
Furthermore an email from Perform;
Thank you for the email which has been passed onto me by my team.
I have looked into the subscription and can see that the issue relates to Digital Rights Management issues, there will be something on the PC that is blocking her from obtaining a licence to view/hear the highlights and/or commentary.
Our recommendation in the first instance to solve this issue is below:
Our Licensing logs do not show any requests for licences from your computer. This means that something is blocking communication between your computer and our servers.
This is usually caused by one or all of the following, your firewall, your anti-virus software or the security and privacy settings in Internet Explorer. The latter should be set at Medium-High and Medium respectively.
Please make sure you are using windows media player 11 and have this set as your default media player, you can download it for free via the following link
