OD week 9

Napster

No ⭐
Big big match. Top 3 all tied. 3rd (me) plays 2nd at home today. Narrowly lost first game against them earlier this season (only game I've lost).

And it's a good start

Welcome to The Dusty Bowl for the match between Napster's XI and spitfire.

We can tell you that Napster's XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking slow and low. Tough for everyone. Could be a low scoring match on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 1: 1-0, runrate=1.00
Allan 1-0-1-0
Basson* 1 (2 balls)
Strydom 0 (4 balls)

Glasby however, lets the team down

End of Over 2: 15-0, runrate=7.50
Glasby 1-0-14-0
Strydom* 3 (5 balls)
Basson 12 (7 balls)

Playing the bottom team.

Welcome to The Hairy Testicle CG for the match between In The Googlies and ShrimperZone CC.

We can tell you that ShrimperZone CC won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 6: 28-1, runrate=4.67
Fettis 3-0-17-0
Redding* 7 (9 balls)
Lebohang 10 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Poutney c & b. Sutherland 11 (FOW: 12/1)

Woo-hah. I love you really Glazzers!

End of Over 6: 32-1, runrate=5.33
Glasby 3-0-26-1
Basson* 18 (17 balls)
Adams 4 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Strydom c. Van niekerk b. Glasby 10 (FOW: 28/1)

5.6 . Glasby to Adams
Adams wants to hit out, but fails to read the spin. Perry can't gather in time to trouble him. Was that a genuine stumping chance?
5.5 4 Glasby to Adams
That's rocketed into the hoardings.
5.4 W Glasby to Strydom
Van niekerk makes unbelievable ground to complete the catch.

Oh joy. Against some mugs who aint all that special. Browne going 2nd ball didn't help!

End of Over 18: 64-7, runrate=3.56
Bhana 4-1-14-0
Deane* 21 (39 balls)
Johnson 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Raven Run Out 18 (FOW: 64/7)

we're doing OK.

End of Over 27: 144-2, runrate=5.33
Van niekerk 4-0-14-0
Basson* 75 (84 balls)
Manzini 20 (34 balls)

Last Wicket: Adams c. Jefferson b. Mirza 36 (FOW: 83/2)

Off soon for my Xmas do - can someone text me the result? Cheers.

Getting spanked, although it's H+F / Sunny

Last Wicket: Canham c. Wright b. Hulse 0 (FOW: 235/9)

Got skittled for 96 on a cracked pitch. Future star Deane getting 42* from 100 balls!

And it won me the game.

Bowled the oppo all out for 35! Johnson taking 6-20 won me the game and it shows i have the best damn bowling unit in the league!

Wooooo!

Kev

My oppo's pulse probably got racing when we were 44-4 but I did rearrange our batting line up somewhat today so should hopefully be ok!

End of Over 25: 115-4, runrate=4.60, reqrunrate=1.68 (156-10)

Last Wicket: Hutton lbw b. Warner 32 (FOW: 61/2)

Hmmm, not a wicket I wanted to lose. My two best bats at the crease now though and Mcleod and Fetts to come, just need it finished before the final 10.

End of Over 29: 125-5, runrate=4.31, reqrunrate=1.52 (156-10)
Gould 5-1-18-1
Lamey* 4 (7 balls)

And that's the end of the match. ShrimperZone CC won by 5 wickets.
In The Googlies 156-10
ShrimperZone CC 157-5

1st and 3rd both look like winning so it looks like a straight three way fight now. I play them in Weeks 13 and 14, that makes me favourites I reckon.

Mine looking like a close finish, although I'm probably the marginal favourite.

Ashampstead v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Ashampstead won the toss and elected to bat.

played Used Rugs away on a cracked pitch and posted 305-2 batting first. Cronin 158 no and Bob Birkett 73 highest scorers. Bowled them out for 138, Bryant getting 6-30.

That win puts me on 16 points in a tight bottom end of the league.

Ashampstead v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Ashampstead won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green
And that's the end of the match. BATTY SHRIMPERS won by 9 wickets.

And that's the end of the match. DIBS DIPPERS won by 6 wickets.
Borders Batters 246-10
DIBS DIPPERS 250-4

2nd & 3rd (both joint first with me) played each other and Inspired Reality suprisingly beat Gatley's mob! 5th placed look like they will beat 4th place, which will mean they will be both 8 points behind and it should mean, it will now be a 3 horse race, rather than a 4 horse race!

Kev

Big win for me, in a relegation battle six (or should that be eight?) -pointer. I move up to 6th on NRR. 4th and 5th are both one win ahead of me, but I'm still to play them and 3rd place Bulldogs, who are two wins clear.
