OD - Week 4

Grayson

Life President⭐🦐
Welcome to The Garrison for the match between Southend and BWB.

We can tell you that BWB won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

Lost a massively important toss again, so this will be 4 defeats from 4.

Game thrown by them, neither of his internationals playing. Should be able to rack up some big runs.

Welcome to Garon Park for the match between ShrimperZone CC and AFC Wimbledon.

We can tell you that ShrimperZone CC won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 3: 20-0, runrate=6.67
Woozley 2-0-13-0
Cunningham* 10 (10 balls)
Sandile 10 (8 balls)

Theyre batting first

End of Over 7: 30-1, runrate=4.29
van Niekerk 4-0-14-1
Evan* 15 (21 balls)
Henshaw 7 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Calcutt c. Whittingham b. van Niekerk 7 (FOW: 12/1)

GFI'ing and bowling first on a cloudy and humid day, 4 my bowlers are on lively and using a comp/comp filler as a fifth

End of Over 8: 35-2, runrate=4.38
Hulse 4-0-17-1
Hurst* 17 (24 balls)
Hoyte 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Roscoe lbw b. Hulse 0 (FOW: 35/2)

End of Over 11: 41-5, runrate=3.73
Chavhanga 1-0-3-0
Healy* 14 (24 balls)
Whitman 2 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Thay b. Wilson 0 (FOW: 38/5)

It's getting beyond a joke. 3 wickets in the over rips out my middle order. Again.

You are me circa season 8/9!

Ooh, did you get good YPs that season? If so, I'll take it :p

Luckily I've won all my FC games. I will probably be in III in FC and OD next season - which isnt a bad thing.

Just every match being over within half-hour, as a contest, is incredibly boring, and not worth my £15 I spent on membership last week. C'est la vie.

Probably safe to say I did.....

Not too much trouble here.

End of Over 18: 146-0, runrate=8.11
Hawes 4-0-38-0
Sandile* 71 (48 balls)
Cunningham 75 (60 balls)

Liking that.

End of Over 24: 190-0, runrate=7.92
Samran 2-0-20-0
Sandile* 96 (68 balls)
Cunningham 94 (76 balls)

23.5 4 Samran to Sandile
Lofted drive away for four on the off side.
23.4 4 Samran to Sandile
Sandile pulls smoothly for four. It just sat up and begged to be hit, to be honest.
23.3 4 Samran to Sandile
No footwork, but bludgeoned to mid wicket.
23.2 4 Samran to Sandile
Cracking shot! A shorter pitched delivery and Sandile judged the spin superbly. Samran is shaking his head over that delivery.

End of Over 27: 138-2, runrate=5.11
Whittingham 4-1-8-0
Henshaw* 58 (68 balls)
Nicol 29 (46 balls)

Last Wicket: Evan c. Back b. Mirza 34 (FOW: 64/2)

need some wickets!

Richie falls to a 4k 33yo.

End of Over 33: 267-1, runrate=8.09
Aaron 10-0-86-0
Sandile* 132 (94 balls)
Lamey 6 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham c. North b. Hawes 126 (FOW: 257/1)

Playing the side who are somehow top after they've won their opening 3 games. My oppo are 182-9 after they started strongly and were 45 without loss. 3 wickets in 3 balls means they shouldn't get many more runs - leaving me a chaseable target, although an uneven pitch could cause my lack of batting to struggle but as long as one of the big boys hang around - i should be okay although you never know with my lot!!

Kev

Wrapped up 29 runs in 4 overs with key players rested to optimise Sunday's friendly vs Napster. :p

BATTY SHRIMPERS v icedgod

We can tell you that icedgod won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lost the toss and then both Evelyn and Schoeman got out as soon as they reched double figures, so was a tad worried given the conditions, but a great partnership between Pollock and Middleton has given us a good chance of notching succesive wins.

End of Over 46: 235-5, runrate=5.11
Easton 8-0-28-3
Nagendranath* 12 (10 balls)
Glasby 3 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Downing c. Alvi b. Easton 0 (FOW: 231/5)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIBS DIPPERS v Mighty White Rose

We can tell you that Mighty White Rose won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Mrs BB was going along OK until this happened. She's going to need to bowl well

End of Over 47: 194-9, runrate=4.13
Farrow 9-0-43-6
Stride* 83 (129 balls)
Ballard 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: York c. Cole b. Farrow 0 (FOW: 194/9)

46.6 W Farrow to York
An utterly instinctive catch by Cole, as much self-preservation as anything else! Farrow's short, wide ball was truly lashed towards point's ribs, and his sharp reactions not only saved a bruise but got the wicket too.
46.5 W Farrow to Mohammed
Caught behind! Nice delivery from Farrow, tight into the body of Mohammed who's tried to turn it off his hips but merely gloved it through to the keeper.
46.4 W Farrow to Sipho
Sipho gets down on one knee and tries to flick that high over square leg. Whibread is there though and he makes no mistake.
46.3 W Farrow to Murdoch
The umpire had no hesitation in raising his finger but I'm a little sceptical. It seemed to hit Murdoch above the knee roll and he also had a good stride in.
46.2 W Farrow to Bird
Yes, got him! Thick outside edge from Bird and that's about as easy as they get for a keeper and Kariyawasam makes no mistake.
46.1 1 Farrow to Stride
Driven to long on, but mistimed.

End of Over 46: 193-4, runrate=4.20
Cronin 8-0-39-2
Stride* 82 (128 balls)
Bird 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Morgan c. Pulis b. Cronin 3 (FOW: 193/4)

45.6 W Cronin to Morgan
Morgan tries the late cut but finds a top edge and the ball flies to the man at fly slip. The sun is in his eyes but he takes a brilliant catch!

Rested Allan, so jeffers and shah have to perform..

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 50: 265-5, runrate=5.30
Whittingham 10-1-44-1
Rufus* 23 (23 balls)
Rose 12 (7 balls)

Fooking joke!!

End of Over 10: 30-4, runrate=3.00, reqrunrate=3.83 (182-10)
Whittington 5-0-15-2
Sookram* 10 (20 balls)
Bayliss 3 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne c. Roache b. Whittington 0 (FOW: 26/4)

End of Over 14: 55-0, runrate=3.93, reqrunrate=0.58 (75-10)
Granville 2-0-9-0
Hendro* 21 (32 balls)
Latham 33 (52 balls)

Latham is quality bat at best. ****-take.

Picked up a couple of early wickets, and the RR is creeping up, so should be OK.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v icedgod

icedgod won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 13: 62-2, runrate=4.77, reqrunrate=5.81 (276-7)
Middleton 7-1-28-1
Alvi* 36 (30 balls)
Cornes 2 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Hickes lbw b. Middleton 19 (FOW: 38/2)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB's picked up a couple early on but can't get them behind the rate, I think she'll need to bowl them out to win.

DIBS DIPPERS v Mighty White Rose

Mighty White Rose won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 13: 60-2, runrate=4.62, reqrunrate=4.14 (212-9)
Sipho 2-1-4-0
Kariyawasam* 7 (6 balls)
Devins 35 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Muller c. Sipho b. Eagles 14 (FOW: 40/2)
