OD - Week 3

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Away to the bottom of the league today, resting a few ready for Sunday's Cup Game, and we're on a TIE.

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Blackstar won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Same situation for Mrs BB, away to bottom of the league. She's a t full-strength on a GFI, as she has a gimmee on Sunday.

Pardoes Pageantry v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Playing normal, they finished 6th last season but are a decent outfit. They have one superstar bowler that comes in midway. We're in and it's a solid start. Need to make some hay in the sun.

Welcome to Garon Park for the match between ShrimperZone CC and Immortals.

We can tell you that Immortals won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

End of Over 3: 16-0, runrate=5.33
Greening 2-0-13-0
Cunningham* 10 (8 balls)
Lamey 6 (10 balls)

TIEing against one of the promoted teams, wanted to bowl first and do this quick.

Welcome to Nige's Hootnannys CG for the match between Nige's Hootnannys and Southend United.

We can tell you that Nige's Hootnannys won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 5: 31-1, runrate=6.20
August 3-1-18-1
Artell* 24 (17 balls)
Marcel 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Hoult b. August 7 (FOW: 31/1)

Shame we're not bowling 1st, although a good chance for Evelyn to improve his average further. (Now at 599.00)

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Blackstar won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 8: 64-0, runrate=8.00
Zahid 4-0-39-0
Schoeman* 28 (25 balls)
Evelyn 35 (23 balls)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A couple of early wickets for Mrs BB

Pardoes Pageantry v DIBS DIPPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 8: 30-2, runrate=3.75
Eagles 4-0-12-0
Durant* 16 (25 balls)
Benjamin 14 (20 balls)

Last Wicket: Prutton c. Bird b. Mohammed 0 (FOW: 0/2)

Ticking along very nicely.

End of Over 12: 74-0, runrate=6.17
Gooden 1-0-3-0
Lamey* 40 (34 balls)
Cunningham 34 (38 balls)

We've probably got enough runs already, I'm now torn between Evelyn losing PFL, against seeing him up his average.

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Blackstar won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 25: 195-0, runrate=7.80
Parlour 3-0-34-0
Schoeman* 99 (83 balls)
Evelyn 92 (68 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fantastic performance from Mrs BB's bowlers.

Pardoes Pageantry v DIBS DIPPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 25: 86-8, runrate=3.44
Ballard 3-2-4-2
Ifill* 0 (7 balls)
Solanki 4 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Wood c. Stride b. Ballard 0 (FOW: 82/8)

Lamo falls but a great opening partnership.

End of Over 31: 151-1, runrate=4.87
Engelbrecht 9-1-38-1
Sandile* 7 (4 balls)
Cunningham 77 (77 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Hearn b. Engelbrecht 67 (FOW: 144/1)

End of Over 36: 164-1, runrate=4.56
Aaron 8-0-39-0
Raven* 86 (117 balls)
Browne 69 (85 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamb b. Daniel 6 (FOW: 20/1)

My god. Im in shock. A pretty damn good partnership from those two, after Lamb was sent in early ... to be the lamb.

These lot got promoted last season and although have no stand out players, have a lot of 50-75k BTR players so are a good outfit.

Kev

No ton for Richie today but Sandy is kicking on nicely. Looking good for 270/280.

End of Over 39: 199-2, runrate=5.10
Peel 8-1-28-0
Marriott* 2 (2 balls)
Sandile 38 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham c. Hearn b. Gooden 91 (FOW: 183/2)

When was the last time MrB and the General both got over 250 on the same day and went on to win!? Record books, beware...!!

Game already won, just a question now of whether Evelyn can beat his Career Best (189*) or even grab the Club Record score (207*)

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Blackstar won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 40: 273-1, runrate=6.83
Dagnall 10-0-60-1
Nagendranath* 9 (19 balls)
Evelyn 138 (121 balls)

Last Wicket: Schoeman c. Folkes b. Dagnall 121 (FOW: 250/1)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has nearly wrapped up her game.

Pardoes Pageantry v DIBS DIPPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 8: 59-0, runrate=7.38, reqrunrate=0.81 (92-10)
Durant 4-0-27-0
Stride* 29 (17 balls)
Potter 30 (31 balls)

Sandy goes after a brisk 42. My middle order getting some rare time at the crease!

End of Over 42: 225-3, runrate=5.36
Peel 9-1-34-1
Plummer* 1 (1 balls)
Marriott 23 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile c. Engelbrecht b. Peel 42 (FOW: 224/3)

End of Over 41: 202-2, runrate=4.93
Gillespie 6-0-37-0
Cook* 12 (10 balls)
Raven 102 (130 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne lbw b. Aaron 79 (FOW: 178/2)

(another) ton up for Raven. They have a real weak bowler playing and the lads are taking advantage (and hopefully will continue to do so) in the last 10 overs...

Artell falls pinfully short of 150

End of Over 42: 299-2, runrate=7.12
Swayne 6-0-54-1
Wright* 3 (3 balls)
Marcel 136 (115 balls)
Last Wicket: Artell c. Crutchley b. Swayne 147 (FOW: 294/2)

Highest score of the season for Evelyn, but he's not being helped by Nagga who keeps nicking the strike.

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Blackstar won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 46: 328-1, runrate=7.13
Parlour 8-0-73-0
Evelyn* 167 (138 balls)
Nagendranath 35 (38 balls)

Last Wicket: Schoeman c. Folkes b. Dagnall 121 (FOW: 250/1)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great win for Mrs BB

Pardoes Pageantry v DIBS DIPPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green
And that's the end of the match. DIBS DIPPERS won by 10 wickets.
Pardoes Pageantry 92-10
DIBS DIPPERS 94-0

End of Over 50: 289-3, runrate=5.78
Daniel 10-0-55-1
Sookram* 19 (15 balls)
Cook 64 (40 balls)

Last Wicket: Raven st. Daley b. Chavda 117 (FOW: 222/3)

Cooks 50 came after just 32 balls. Brilliant knock from him at the death.

Playing someone who started Battrick just after me so is a good chance for me to see how I've been getting on. Noticed he has a lot of older players whereby I've got a lot of yoof.

They've set a reasonable target but I'm hopeful of getting there.

End of Over 50: 244-4, runrate=4.88
Coutts 10-0-53-2
Bramall* 16 (10 balls)
Lancaster 20 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Powell Run Out 4 (FOW: 209/4)

End of Over 50: 365-3, runrate=7.30
Swayne 10-0-87-1
Hulse* 18 (15 balls)
Marcel 177 (141 balls)
Last Wicket: Wright c. Castle b. August 9 (FOW: 313/3)

Evelyn ended up 179*, taking his OD average for the season to 743. Prior to this round of games, he was 15th in the World Batting Averages. He's now overtaken 9 of them, with 5 more still to bat (2 in NZ, 1 in WI and 2 in England) His run of scores for the season now looks like this - 137, 266 (FC), 140*, 121*, 166* and 179*. I'm so glad I didn't sell him a couple of season's ago as I contemplated.

Blackstar v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Blackstar won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 3: 10-0, runrate=3.33, reqrunrate=7.70 (371-1)
Schoeman 2-0-6-0
Foster* 4 (10 balls)
Hartburn 4 (9 balls)
