OD - Week 2

MrB

Life President
ShrimperZone CC v Legendary Knights

A repeat of our opening SZ match, we won that one but they have a much higher wage bill and a repeat will be tough.

A steady start but it's Hard & Fast so we need 250+ I reckon.

End of Over 6: 26-0, runrate=4.33
Ahmed 3-0-7-0
Lamey* 14 (16 balls)
Sinethemba 11 (21 balls)

Might actually win a game today, and I need to with morale and members confidence at rock bottom!

We can tell you that Worcester_T won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 16: 98-1, runrate=6.13
Delgado 3-0-16-0
Sobers* 41 (42 balls)
Robert 52 (53 balls)
Last Wicket: Mehar c. Aldridge b. Ayre 0 (FOW: 5/1)

Well after yesterdays heroics we're getting well and truly flattened today. It's £1.3m vs around £800k again so I can't really complain but in similar circumstance last week we only lost by a run and on Saturday we beat the same line up!!

End of Over 21: 71-6, runrate=3.38
Ahmed 5-1-8-1
Sinethemba* 31 (56 balls)
Crossley 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Alvardo Run Out 0 (FOW: 71/6)

Playing same opps as per FC at their uneven pitch and going along well at over 4 an over

Paster on great form again, but starting to run short of partners...

End of Over 32: 182-4, runrate=5.69
Muggins 8-0-52-0
Odonague* 1 (3 balls)
Paster 104 (89 balls)
Last Wicket: Bryant b. Barton 9 (FOW: 180/4)

Away to Triximo's Tricks. They came second last season to my third. Batting first and already 4 wickets down.

End of Over 33: 128-4, runrate=3.88
Muawiya 7-1-18-1
Mcandrew* 13 (17 balls)
Arrowsmith 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Dliza c. Moody b. Muawiya 3 (FOW: 128/4)

Bugger. Forgot to rest Mcandrew. Working the Asian market at the moment means I'm up till 3am so forgot to set orders/

:'(

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Park Avenue CC

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: slow

End of Over 41: 211-3, runrate=5.15
Wilkey 6-0-23-0
Machungo* 26 (29 balls)
Soleyn 76 (103 balls)

Last Wicket: West c. Tyas b. Singh 55 (FOW: 160/3)

Getting a bit of a pasting at the moment, but it's offset by gate receipts of 585k, taking the weeks total to over 1.6m

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB also facing a tough chase.

DIBS DIPPERS v Forza Juve

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: cracked

End of Over 42: 199-3, runrate=4.74
Arnold 6-0-25-0
Kerwin* 24 (38 balls)
Silk 112 (133 balls)

Last Wicket: van Schalkwyk b. Eagles 2 (FOW: 152/3)

I was a bit naffed off with mine seeing as it was off the back of Cup and FC wins.

02/12/2011 Played a OD League match (7214687) and received £455,602 in gate receipts.

At least it's BT20 next week so can hopefully get 5 wins in before the next home FC game (which will be a brutal defeat by Bob's Buffoons).

Yeah, but 1 defeat knocks it right back, so if you lost in week 1, that proably explains it.

Made a steady start in response to a monster total...

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Park Avenue CC

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: slow

End of Over 10: 46-0, runrate=4.60, reqrunrate=5.63 (270-4)

Mrs BB off to a resonable start as well.

DIBS DIPPERS v Forza Juve

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: cracked

End of Over 11: 47-0, runrate=4.27, reqrunrate=5.18 (248-5)
Lever 6-0-22-0
Titterton* 20 (33 balls)
Zubair 27 (33 balls)

made it to 311-5 in the end thanks to a monster innings from Paster - 173 n.o from 144 balls. Putting the squeeze on them now and Cliffe has just made the breakthrough following his 7-46 in FC this week.

15.1 W Cliffe to Todd
Todd wafts feebly down leg and succeeds only in gloving loopily to the tumbling Odonague.

End of Over 15: 67-0, runrate=4.47, reqrunrate=7.00 (311-5)
Cairns 3-1-7-0
Todd* 33 (46 balls)
Rautenbach 33 (44 balls)

If I don't get Speare out I lose.

End of Over 37: 139-4, runrate=3.76, reqrunrate=4.54 (197-4)
Lakhani 7-2-28-3
Shaheen* 6 (29 balls)
Speare 42 (50 balls)
Last Wicket: Clements lbw b. Lakhani 0 (FOW: 95/4)

well this is tight!

End of Over 46: 204-5, runrate=4.43, reqrunrate=5.75 (226-3)
James 8-1-26-2
Anuiyelewa* 46 (43 balls)
