OD - Week 13

MrB

Life President
Eleven Golden Vampires v ShrimperZone CC

FC promotion all but secured (24 points clear of 2nd and playing them next week) so we can go all out for OD survival.

3. Peruvian Farmers 12 8 0 4 32 19.99
4. Fingers XI 12 7 0 5 28 19.35
5. ShrimperZone CC 12 7 0 5 28 17.82
6. Eleven Golden Vampires 12 5 0 7 20 0.03

Fingers should win as they're playing relegated Layer Cake however the Farmers have to take on 2nd place Parkway and then us in the final week whilst Fingers take on top dogs Postwars.

So two wins will see us take 4th place, GFI with a fully sublime squad it is!

Should also mention that having reshuffled my batting line up, I had a quick double check about 2 minutes before the orders closed and discovered I had Mario as captain and Richie as WK, could have been disastrous!

Goatacre CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

With FC and BT20 promotion secured, it's just OD to go.

1. Cas Bat 12 9 0 3 36 18.15
2. BATTY SHRIMPERS 12 9 0 3 36 12.70
3. Goatacre CC 12 7 0 5 28 14.48
4. Westons Whackers 12 7 0 5 28 7.12

We go to 3rd placed Goatacre CC, whilst leaders Cas Bat are at home to 4th placed Westons Whackers. Cas have a few PFL probs, with 7 of their top 8 BT rated players at Lively or worse, the other one is only at Invigorated, whilst Weston's have a couple at Energetic and the rest at Sublime.

We have just Schoeman and Nagga at Energetic, and everyone else at Sublime. So we're full-strength on a GFI.

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

End of Over 6: 36-1, runrate=6.00
Middleton 3-0-20-1
van der Merwe* 12 (15 balls)
Sebastian 12 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Howell c & b. Middleton 12 (FOW: 16/1)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very tight in Mrs BB's division. She's 2nd and plays the leaders (who have already won the division), however 2nd to 5th are only seperated by NRR, so she needs a win. She did beat them earlier in the season, so could well do it again.

wakatipu v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloudy and windy day.

End of Over 5: 23-2, runrate=4.60
Mohammed 3-0-14-1
Haldane* 3 (1 balls)
Whitehouse 9 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Remaketse c. Stride b. Mohammed 6 (FOW: 20/2)

Our reserve bowlers keeping it tight

End of Over 8: 26-2, runrate=3.25
Vadiveloo 4-1-8-1
Mcclen* 2 (9 balls)
Shirley 4 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Brevett lbw b. Atherton 9 (FOW: 19/2)

Me batting reshuffle failed, Mario fell early and Lamo has now followed. Need a big innings from Richie who has finally lumbered himself back to strong form after a season in the woeful/feeble doldrums.

End of Over 8: 31-2, runrate=3.88
Haishen 4-0-13-1
Sandile* 4 (7 balls)
Cunningham 7 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Read b. Haishen 12 (FOW: 24/2)

Bad times.

End of Over 10: 40-3, runrate=4.00
Haishen 5-0-16-1
Cunningham* 11 (16 balls)
Sinethemba 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Sandile Run Out 9 (FOW: 40/3)

Not the best of starts, especially Begg going for 13 off his 1st 2 overs on a Dusty.

Goatacre CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 17: 93-2, runrate=5.47
Begg 2-0-13-0

End of Over 17: 81-4, runrate=4.76
Sipho 4-1-14-1
Rea* 5 (18 balls)
Lay 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Whitehouse c & b. Sipho 51 (FOW: 81/4)

Abysmal performance on a sunny day.

End of Over 19: 88-5, runrate=4.63
Jabulile 3-0-10-1
Mcleod* 8 (11 balls)
Plummer 7 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham b. Winter 30 (FOW: 77/5)

End of Over 23: 63-9, runrate=2.74
Allan 2-1-2-0
Stacey* 4 (21 balls)
Peterose 4 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Higginbotham b. Witchell 0 (FOW: 54/9

Im at home to the bottom side. However, im TIE'ing and in theory a bowler down as Deane is my 5th choice bowler (quality/prof) but i do bat down to 9 with Johnson at 10. Waterhouse and Lamb fell early but Sookram and Lamb going along nicely in the bowler friendly weather conditiona!

End of Over 24: 118-2, runrate=4.92
Knowles 2-0-15-0
Sookram* 55 (71 balls)
Cook 56 (67 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamb Run Out 0 (FOW: 4/2)

Nigh on £300,000k in the coffers so upto 9.2 million quid in the bank!

Their one weak bowler has arrived but we've run out of batsmen to face them! Hopefully Tate can continue blocking and allow Plums to plunder some runs.

End of Over 26: 114-6, runrate=4.38
Hornsby 1-0-9-0
Plummer* 27 (32 balls)
Tate 4 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcleod c. Raisani b. Winter 10 (FOW: 94/6)

Hopefully Tate can continue blocking and allow Plums to plunder some runs.
Lol, that worked out well then.....

End of Over 27: 115-8, runrate=4.26
Jabulile 7-1-19-3
Plummer* 28 (33 balls)
Ryan 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Schofield lbw b. Jabulile 0 (FOW: 115/8)

26.6 W Jabulile to Schofield
Jabulile strikes! But what an astonishing decision by Schofield to pad up to that - frankly he deserves to go.
26.5 W Jabulile to Tate
Tate tries to fend off a lifting ball, he only succeeds in gloving it to Raisani behind the timbers.

Massive choke going on here, although to be fair he hammered me earlier in the year as well.

Goatacre CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 30: 183-2, runrate=6.10
Glasby 3-0-19-0
Griffiths* 53 (48 balls)
Sebastian 89 (77 balls)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No such probs for Mrs BB.

wakatipu v DIBS DIPPERS

Pitch: Flat

End of Over 31: 123-7, runrate=3.97
Sipho 6-1-23-2
Rea* 24 (58 balls)
Dowie 0 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Monk lbw b. Eagles 0 (FOW: 120/7)

End of Over 33: 151-3, runrate=4.58
Bibee 10-0-38-1
Cook* 73 (95 balls)
Browne 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Sookram c. Hawkins b. Bibee 70 (FOW: 151/3)

Heroic effort from Suthers who added 7 in 24 balls (21 tenth wicket partnership) and allow us to bump the total up a bit. At least we have something to defend now.

End of Over 35: 140-10, runrate=4.00
Thomas 7-0-38-2
Plummer* 44 (52 balls)

And that's the end of the match. Napster's XI won by 10 wickets.
Unrealistic_County 68-10
Napster's XI 69-0

Suthers strikes first ball, though also expensive. Can't afford to give cheap runs away as we don't have much to play with.

End of Over 3: 15-1, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=2.68 (140-10)
Sutherland 2-0-12-1
Khurshid* 5 (8 balls)
Shane 10 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Raisani c. Lamey b. Sutherland 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Time to stack on the runs!!

End of Over 42: 196-3, runrate=4.67
Knowles 9-1-46-0
Cook* 104 (134 balls)
Browne 14 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Sookram c. Hawkins b. Bibee 70 (FOW: 151/3)

We need a breakthrough and quick, runs coming thick and fast.

nd of Over 11: 55-2, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=2.21 (140-10)
Sutherland 6-0-34-1
Read* 18 (22 balls)
Shane 29 (33 balls)

Last Wicket: Khurshid Run Out 6 (FOW: 17/2)
