OD - Week 11

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
2nd (me) against 3rd. Don't think I can win the league although the leaders have struggled in the last couple of games, winning by a 1 run and 4 runs in their last 2 games, so who knows.

Ashburn CC v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Ashburn CC won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Off to a good start

Same situation for Mrs BB, she's 2nd playing 3rd.

DIBS DIPPERS v Penistone 2nd XI

We can tell you that Penistone 2nd XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

Hluphizwe* 36 (48 balls)
Ehiogu 16 (26 balls)

Playing the top team and NEED to win today! He bowled his best 2 bowlers straight thru and Cook and Browny did an excellent job!

Cook* 39 (66 balls)
Lamb 21 (26 balls)

Healy* 83 (116 balls)
Rennie 10 (22 balls)

These two need to bat through to get a defendable score.

And typically Healy gets out the over after my post. Five down.

Oppo has thrown my game, but annoying that they stuck me in to bat. Could have done without the PFL hits.

Click anywhere to close

Pitch: Green

End of Over 43: 254-4, runrate=5.91

Lamb* 83 (94 balls)
Cook 123 (136 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne c. Archer b. Hamed 46 (FOW: 77/1)

However good this may look, these guys are the one's with the elite top order and if Lamby can get 83* then anything is possible here. Its on their batting friendly wicket - but the conditions are there to suit the bowlers with it being cloudy and humid!

Convincing win against the leagues bottom side after posting 395-1 batting first on a H&F track. Cronin 186* beating the 158* he scored last innings. Shashidhar returned figures of 4-15 in 5 overs in their 69ao.

If only i'd have not lost the 1st fixture against them earlier in the season then my position in this division could have been more comfortable, at worst can finish 6th but want 4th and will need to win 2 out of the last 3 matches to have a chance of that.

9 wicket win. The leaders lost so it's all closed up again.

1. monkey sloggers 11 8 0 3 32 11.13
2. ShrimperZone CC 11 7 1 3 30 13.97
3. Gambero C.C. 11 7 1 3 30 13.43
4. Lampys Lightning 11 7 0 4 28 2.07
5. Play Ball CC 11 7 0 4 28 -1.91

We play 6th next week then our final two matches are against Sloggers and Gambero. Fortunately my FC league is already won so I'll be more than ready for some GFI's to make sure. If we win it then a play off is almost certain. Sloggers are a darn good side though.

Devastating loss for me.

They chased down 272, despite the asking rate being over 8.5 an over at one stage.

Following Thursdays defeat were I crumbled in the last half an hour, I'm at a loss at what to do.
