OD - The Final Reckoning

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Home to the side in 4th, whilst the leaders go to the 6th placed side. I have to win and either a) hope Cas Bat don't win or b) we have equal results but I mkae up a NRR diff of about 5.5. Needed to bowl first today, and try and knock them over pretty sharpish. Good start as we've won the toss, and have an early wicket. Meanwhile, the leaders haven't made the best of starts....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Cardboard Avengers

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 3: 7-1, runrate=2.33
Singh 2-0-3-1
Houlihan* 4 (7 balls)
Albertus 1 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Poole lbw b. Singh 2 (FOW: 5/1)

icedgod v Cas Bat

icedgod won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 3: 20-2, runrate=6.67
Easton 2-0-11-1
Defoe* 17 (9 balls)
Lional 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Whittingham b. Kealeboga 2 (FOW: 11/2)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB still not mathematically safe from a relegation play-off, but she'd need to lose and have a NRR diff of over 15 overturned, so I think she'll be OK.

DIBS DIPPERS v Horley Sloggers

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 4: 20-0, runrate=5.00
Eagles 2-0-10-0
Keeling* 3 (4 balls)
Rodgers 16 (21 balls)

Home to top of the table, we're in 2nd, but never going to win the title. Hope to get a win, just bought two decent bowlers.

End of Over 5: 12-1, runrate=2.40
van Niekerk 3-0-5-1
Bradburn* 1 (2 balls)
Akhtar 1 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Farr c. Shah b. van Niekerk 9 (FOW: 11/1)

and it's a good start

Need to win to guarentee a relegation play off and avoid the drop automatically. Playing Bulldogs CC who have an immense top 3 and nothing else.

Welcome to The Dog Pound! for the match between Bulldogs CC and Southend.

We can tell you that Southend won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 5: 43-2, runrate=8.60
Sipho 3-0-20-2
Greenwood* 16 (16 balls)
Sarwar 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Blizzard b. Sipho 21 (FOW: 43/2)

Playing third, we're level point with the team in second, so have to match their result and hope they don't overturn a NRR of 4.

End of Over 6: 28-0, runrate=4.67
Jervis 3-0-16-0
Artell* 19 (19 balls)
Hoult 8 (17 balls)

And I forgot to GFI.

Looks like I'm in the play-offs.

Won my game by 8 wickets, and Cas lost by 9 wickets after posting 285 all out.

Hope the games pan out like this....

Raining in Kos so had my plans for watching BT all afternoon whilst drinking. Kinda ruined now! Lost by 7 wickets, Sandy made 90 odd but none of the others contributed, we only made 188 and another elite top order made light work of it.

So we face a play off next Friday. At least it's some extra gate money. Be interesting to see who I'm playing.

Are the higher league side at home in the play-off?
I believe so...

Just had a quick work out, and it looks as though I've finished 11th in the promotion table, meaning I should get a 6th placed side in the play-offs.
