(Not) An Update On Centenary Celebrations

Having not had a reply to an email to the club, I called them to try to establish when a centenary celebration match might be played as I am keen to book my usual July holiday.

A chap in the comercial department said it would be a Saturday and most likely 22nd or 29th July.

I enquired about possible opposition and apparently we are talking to a few top clubs,including international ones.

I said that the fans don't mind as long as it is not West Ham and the line went silent for a few seconds before the response came back that a team that will fill the ground is of paramount importance.

So you havwe been warned!

Personally, I would like to see an international side so that those of you who pine after the North Bank could have it back for one more game, albeit a meaningless friendly, but hopefully a special day.

Come on MK Shrimper, be sensible. If this is going to be a pre season friendly we're gonna need a team that will test us.
