Norwich City/ Anthony Grant

Norwich City have signed Grant Holt from Shewsbury Town.

I know we have too many strikers but always fought he could have done a job here. But never mind,
Im guessing Norwich will be the team to beat this season.

More to the point, i have a friend who is a City fan through and through. He claims Norwich are about to make a bid for Ant Grant.
He is usually pretty usefull with hes souces. Should we have anything to be worried about?

Norwich have brought a few players today.

Wouldnt be surprised to see teams come in for Grant, he's about out only sellable asset.

TBH, I'd let him go if we get a decent bid.

huddersfield signing anyone with clark(e) in their name...
norwich signing anyone with grant in their name...
it all fits together...
if they offer us 300k suspect we'll bite their arm off, would pay half the tax bill and CM is the one area where we have too many players

Our only saleable assett???

I would certainly put moussa ahead of grant. I think once moussa establishes himself as a central midfielder he could prove championship quality.

Personally have never rated grant at all. Take the 300k and give tilly half to spend on defenders.

300k for Grant. That's good business. Macca, Moussa, Sawyer, Christophe provide a more than adequate L1 central midfield line up. Hopefully, if we do sell the money will be used to cover the defensive areas where we have precious little.

300k I would rip both there arms and legs off to take him....He cant make a tackle without upending the bloke...

Yep, agree with the majority. We have plenty of bodies in there and 200-300k would be a good bit of business and will allow us to get at least one half decent centre half.

I´d be surprised if it´s true but if they offer decent money for him then definitely sell him. I´d probably put him at the bottom of our list of central midfielders. Good player but not indispensable.

Couple of weeks back there was a story on here that Brighton had bid £300,000 for him. Nothing came of that, if true.

Can't agree with that. I suspect that when Grant leaves he'll move up the pyramid whereas I think Moussa will only go down.

I hope I'm wrong.

Although I agree with the point that we have plenty of centre midfielders Grant proved in the second half of last season what an important player for us he has become. At this stage he's a mile ahead of Moussa.

Whilst I agree with you, there's a lot on here who don't. Grant is a very useful player to have around, not least for his versatility but also for his tackling. Ok, it can be very dodgy at times but it can also be utterly brilliant, it's his knack of innocently breaking up opposition moves that is completely unlike anyone else in the team.

Grant and Sawyer will shine through as our 2 best players. They have had the breeding from Chelsea and that will show this season.
