Northern Irish Fans need help!

I am a northern irsh fan and am coming for the charlton game in late feb. Need to know a few details, i.e how to get to southend from stansted and where to stay in Southend, all help appreciated :)

Welcome to the board like we have spoken on MSN this forum is the best place for everything SUFC related

Get the First Airbus (X30???) in from Stansted, very reliable & regular, plus it's direct (with stops in Chelmsford, Rayleigh & edge of Southend) & means you don't have to change trains at Liverpool St.

Travelodge did me last time I stayed down, although it's above Mayhem so unless you get lucky & get put at totally the other end of the building & 2 floors up I am led to believe it can be a bit noisy (so take ear plugs if you want to sleep). Only 2 mins from High St & no more than 5 to Bus Station too.

There's also an excellent B&B on near Pier Hill that does discounts for Zoners too IIRC.

The X30 bus is an absolute dream pal. Get that and takes you into the centre of town. You only have to make a few stops along the way and they run every hour during the day and do a limited service during the night. Think the cost is good too. Think its £18 return but not 100% as last used it in May time! You certainly wont find a cheaper and easier way (unless someone picks you up!)!

Once you are in Southend there alot of B&B's to stay in, the Travellodge in town is very handy if you want a drink or ten as its right next door to Varsity, Mayhem & DDV. O'Neills is just a 3 min walk away and Element is just a 5 min walk away. Talk is a ten min walk away as thats down by the seafront.

I think the B&B you mention Rich has a minimum 2 night condition of booking, but as they're saying, and I doubt lack of sleep will worry you somehow, the Travelodge in the High St is the best bet. Convenient for everything, including the ground (a 10 minute brisk walk).

If your looking for a local brass then can I recommend York Road to you. Prices range from £15-£50 depending upon the ladys drug dependency.....

Personally I (along with Franky Banks) use Tracey and she is very dependable.
If you mention you know Franky you will get a f+f discount of approx 20%.

If however she is not turing tricks that night might I suggest either Sonia or Amber. At all costs though avoId "Chelsea" as you may get more thaN you bargined for - Hope this helps.

It would be wise, though, to point out that "Amber" is 'his' business name. It's also a bit more than a 'brisk 10 minute walk' from the Travelodge to the ground. It's a brisk 10 minute run.

To save your legs, and to get yourself dropped outside both the ground and the pub, there's a bus stop about 30 yards from the Travelodge. I'm sure others will correct me but you can get the 7, 8, 9, 20, 21 and 25 buses from there to Roots Hall.
