Anyone know if they're planning on repairing/installing the scoreboard above the North Bank? There were rumours a new one would be installed before the Chesterfield game but only rumours.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. I actually found the whole scoreboard a very poignant sight recently, broken and not working with the Banner for Trade Price Cars at the top of it.

Yes that is very sad to look at that , it must be changed.

I know that was in jest but Frank Walton does deserve a functioning clock. The way it is, I think it's a pretty poignant symbol of the neglect of our club.

I'm not saying it's a priority item by any means but if I were the new owner this would be on my list of small things to do that would cumulatively make quite a big difference to the feel around the place on matchdays.

With the many new stadium built in the last decade could there be a reconditioned 2nd hand recycled scored board somewhere on the cheap?

Why? It's not like a replacement is particularly expensive

There is even the commercial aspect of having goals, corners, throw ins etc being sponsored. Obviously that would mean a bigger investment but we are talking about well below 50k

That actually makes sense.
Ronnie was never going to get the scoreboard fixed,
Now maybe after Justin Rees has visited and seen the scoreboard, he might now want to get it sorted for the next home game.

Being televised as well, a broken scoreboard will look **** on the TV

How about scoreboard lottery.

Most games are now about 100mins in length x 60 seconds = 6,000 seconds. You buy per second for a quid and when the first shot hits the score board the exact minute and second is instantly recorded and the winners name lights up. Good fun if your in the ground as the winners mates will obviously be delighted as they drag them down the pub.

£5,000 for the winner and £1,000 for the club (plus sponsorship)....Can even have a roll over.

A chance for the winner to be snapped in the echo with the offending player etc.

The current one is fairly new, and seemed to be fairly modern looking and more like tv style with colour etc.

Hopefully it’s not terminal and just needs someone to fix it; it broke one half at a time (don’t know if that’s good or bad) could literally be some loose connections but obviously neglected and not cared about until now.
