NORTH BANK ROOF OFF

I'd rather have the away fans making a noise as it adds to the atmosphere. Taking the roof off would be a backwards step.

Swansea's fans were in excellent voice yesterday and deserve praise for their support of the team. On the other hand we only really started making a noise in the second half...

absolutely, we need to learn to get behind our team when they are behind or not playing well!! anyone can sing when they're winning!!

Because Roots Hall was filled with day-trippers, it was a bit hard to get behind them until we scored, sadly

I thought the Jack fans were great (well inside the ground) great atmosphere to a great game.
When we are away we usually sing our hearts out for the boys and being all in the same part of the ground helps, shame about the Hall that we are spread about on 3 sides of the pitch and sometimes theres little to get excited about when we know we can play much better than we are.

Wasn't accoustic tiles being fitted in the North stand or something like it?

Yeah, that rousing song about 'All English are Bastards' was particulary charming. Also, wasn't it wonderful to see the No Smoking ban being imposed in the North Bank. It was like a f%&king bonfire in there at times. One law for one etc, etc

A few years back I suggested to the club that perhaps some sort of soundproofing inside the roof might deaden the noise of the away fans. Perhaps they're doing something like that.
