Niall Quinn's thoughts

Agreed make a nice change from some of the usual "small fry" comments that we normally get from the so called "big" clubs.

Always liked Niall Quinn.

Niall Quinn is a top man - one of my favourite people in football. Hope, for his sake, the Mackems have a good season (barring tomorrow of course!).

also agree with the above - think he's a top bloke, never met him but he seems genuine and sincere

Think you will find that he gave the entire contents of his testimonial pot to charity too.....Top bloke.

Lets make lots of noise at the hall tomorrow... We have to make teams hate playing here.... From start to finish they won't like it... small dirty changing rooms, crowd on top of u... lets get behind the blues...

Great stuff from Quinn, although I hate it when people take us seriously.

One thing to note from both Ronnie Moore's and Brian Little's trips to the Hall last season is that they returned back to the North-West with a big fat nul points in their pockets, the numpties.

Nice to see us taken seriously by a 'big club'.

Hopefully Sunderland won't improve and we can take another three points, but somehow I reckon this'll be our sternest test so far.

well i hope sunderland do well this season but not against us !

The quote "The Black Cats look to end their losing steak" is worrying. I'll be keeping a close eye out for loose cutlets tomorrow.

good comments, takes freddy seriously (although who doesnt!?), knows we will make a fast start, strong at home (although aguably stronger away) and getting physical is probably a good tactic against us as much of our play is on the deck and fast. however i think we are up to the challenge, would love to see clarke come in but wont mind seeing spinner back as i dont think he has been any worse than anyone else this season. hope that francis and hammell play their best as i think they will be crucial to us having a succesful season. obviously want us to score goals, but would prefer them to come from anyone else but freddy! the transfer window can come soon enough in my opinion!
