New Stadium Designs...

EastStandBlue

Life President
For my final year doing a Product Design course i decided to Plan, Design and build an architectural model of a new stadium for Southend, although its not actually finished yet this is a 3D Model made using ProDesktop... The actual model will be finished sometime in March, and i'll post pictures up when its finished.

Proposed capacity is 22,000, with 2 tiers all across the ground, features include a new club shop and executive facility (the building coming off the actual stadium, Underground parking for 5,000 cars and unique roofing (the plane sunken into the roof will be Glass, but can't be shown here)

Try to add a unique feature to it to give it character, and make the seats closer to the action, to improve atmousphere.

The Unique feature will be 4 Spires coming out of the 4 corners, Out of them will stretch the tension wires supporting the weight of the ground and will illuminate blue... And the seats are as close to the pitch as they legally can be though its a poor quality picture...

Good good, we have to stop building all these generic stadiums that Leicester, Southampton, Swansea and others have.

And yes I did mean atmosphere.

A stadium I can actually see filled's nice too, unlike some...

Presuming that it wouldn't be a stand alone project, or that it woud be part of a estate?

this is a better representation of it, including the spires but not tension wire...

Only problem with this design is the Spires are not slanted outwoods like i have designed, this is probably because i cant be bothered to master this program with its 160 hour learning curve

Since the stadium will be place don the Fossetts Farm site, the surrounding placements will be filled with a redevelopment of Boots and Laces, a new public sports centre, flats and a leicure centre (cinema, shops etc) though these arent actually designed. I plan to make it like Millenium stadium, With a public transport station with independent train station and Bus depot and a good atmosphere both outside the gorund as well as inside.

Ahh, good transport links and good services for food and so on, cool, maybe you should take over the FF project.

The spikes would certainly intimidate any away teams coming to the ground!

Good transport links? Good food?

Most un-Southend like things, especially the latter!

If only!

I like the idea of the spikes btw.

Like KitKat crescent, The JJB and The Reebok... Southends new ground will be called "The Kleenex Aloe Vera Arena"

I like it. ORM could do with a sponsor's discount on Kleenex when he watches Maher play.
