I would like to proudly announce the birth of the latest Southend United supporter...

Beautiful baby boy Oliver Smith was born at 00:53 this morning at Southend General, weighing in at 8lb 8oz...

Mum and Olly doing fine.

Dad totally over the moon...

Roll on his first game, if dad can persuade mum, he would like to throw him in at the deep end and make his first visit to the mecca the one against that lot from up the A12!!!, great first game if you ask me!...

Think the Col U idea as a 1st game is spot on.

Seeing as there's been a bit of a baby-boom on here the past few months, I think we should get Just Sport to improve the baby-wear stuff that's on offer! I'd love to get a baby-sized kit, but they don't do them!

Congratulations! But go easy on him. Bring him on steadily. My six year old fell asleep at the LDV and Yeovil home so these things can take time. However, he does not like West Ham or Arsenal and has become one of us despite his Grandad being a Wickford Man U fan. However, he does sponsor an animal at C*lch*st*r Zoo. Is that allowed?

My two year old daughter also sings Freddy songs all the time much to the annoyance of her Mother.

You will also have rewarding times like I had this morning at 5-30am when my Son could not sleep so we drew a picture of Freddy's goal at Cardiff.

Was in the shop yesterday and noticed a new range of baby stuff. My Daddy's a Southend fan and such like stuff.

FYI there's a romper type baby suit in the shop which says '' My Dad's a SUFC fan''. Sky blue or white I think, navy blue not really a baby colour and not Nike I'm afraid.
