The PL League Boss⭐⭐🦐
NEW Session starts Saturday 7th March 2015

LAST NIGHT - was the final set of fixtures in the current session of CanveyShrimpers Prediction League Forum and a hectic night it was:

The Main Prediction League - D.O.L.L. was the winner of Division One, while MGH was the runaway winner of Division Two, In Division Three Ian_the_Girth and Bobby Dazzler finished equal on points but Ian had the highest weekly score and took the title. Promotions and relegations also took place and two sets of play-offs will be decided this Saturday.

The Prediction League Cup had previously been won by C C Csiders who had a dramatic last minute victory over Wickfordshrimper.

The Southend Prediction League (Southend score and scorers only) was won by davewebbsbrain by a four point margin.

The Roots Hall Home Championship was won by the West Stand who beat the East stand after previously beating the North Bank and the South Stands.

SATURDAY 7th MARCH 2015 - Sees the start of a new session of the Prediction League and all are welcome to join in, including existing members, new members or guests who only have to register to take part. It is of course FREE and hopefully fun.

The first set of fixtures are up for the new session

Following are some details of how the PL works if you've not seen it before.

The Prediction League has its own forum CANVEYSHRIMPERS PREDICTION LEAGUE. All you have to do is predict the score for six selected matches, mark one as a wildcard (which scores double points) and select who you think will score first for Southend. The results then count in up to four different competitions

  • It’s easy
  • It only takes a couple of minutes once or twice a week
  • You can’t make a fool of yourself because we are all useless!
  • It’s lively
  • It’s uncontroversial
  • Hopefully it’s fun

If your new you'll start in Division Three in the Main PL, be entered in the Southend PL, be entered in the Prediction Cup and if your good enough could get to represent your chosen stand in the Roots Hall Home competition. Automatic promotion, play-offs and relegation take place in each session and with four sessions per year there is always something going on, and you could move up the Leagues quite quickly !

All are welcome why not join in?

Another cracking effort, Thanks Pete, finally got promoted. If your not part of the prediction league get involved its a good laugh and free!

Completely concur....it's great!

But it's tragic when you forecast a loss for SUFC and then they go and bloody well win :hilarious:

Do it now ShimperZoners, or you're a great big muppet who probably loves Col Ewe on the QT.

Agreed, just a bit of fun on our part but a lot of largely unsung hard work by DoDtS

Only just checked. Gutted, in the promotion spots all season, and then dropped out into the play-offs on the final day:'(

Over 40 have already posted their predictions, and with less than 24 hours to go it should be busy.

Still time to get your predictions in any time before kick-off time

With about three hours to go 54 are so far taking part, but there is still time to get your Predictions in before kick-off time.

Today 58 took part in the first predictions of the new session and all are automatically entered in the first round of the Prediction League Cup and the draw for this will be on Monday 9th March 2015.

For anyone who missed todays predictions but wants to take part its not too late, you can join in at any time and you will be included in the League results.

If you want to be included in the Cup you can either a) post your Predictions for No. 2 fixtures or b) send me a private message telling me so, in both cases the deadline is Midnight tomorrow (Sunday 8th March 2015)

Best if luck to all.
