I think you're right about Cheese.

The remaining question mark I'd like to see resolved the most now is regarding Jay Smith signing a new deal, even though it would be good if we can keep Dudders.

I think you're right about Cheese.

The remaining question mark I'd like to see resolved the most now is regarding Jay Smith signing a new deal, even though it would be good if we can keep Dudders.

I'd say with the transfer window issue coming into play we need to do our utmost to retain both Jay & Lawrie (depending on who the intended striker target is).

All in all, it's another example of how much better run SUFC is these days, maybe they've possibly learnt from the Rawle & Constantine contract issues?

I think given Martin's(maybe Brush's) comments in the Echo last week saying "We are now looking for two new strikers and a fast winger" I would say that we are resigned to losing Dudfield....

I'm certainly resigned to Dudfield's inevitable exit - I'll be amazed if he does a u-turn.

Yeah, I don't think Dudfield will grace our hallowed turf next season, which is a bit of a shame because the lad has talent, let's hope we can bring in a striker of equal ability. What's really worrying me is the situation with Jay Smith, we know he was offered a contract but since then nothing, only rumours that he rejected it.... I hope we manage to hang on to him, and that he doesn't trot off to Bristol like Atkins wants!

Agreed, I think we've all said it before, if Smith walks out on us 'cause another team is offering him a few quid more then if he ever came to the Hall again he would deservedly recieve one of the most hostile reactions possible.
I'm just a bit worried that we've heard nothing from him at all, whereas everyone else who's been offered have accepted / rejected / renegotiated theirs. I would have thought there'd have been some word by now!
