We are proud to have installed a new mural in the Blues Lounge depicting several Club legends.

The artwork pays tribute to some of the most iconic players in our history, namely Adam Barrett, Freddy Eastwood, Alan Moody and Billy Best. The players were chosen after discussions with the Southend United Ex-Players Association.

The mural, which spans the wall on the right-hand side of the lounge as you look out from the bar, features portraits of the players above as well as our badge.

Fans visiting the Blues Lounge on matchdays will now have the chance to admire this homage to the Club’s history, sparking conversations and memories of the many great moments these players have brought to Roots Hall.

Any chance of the bar in the West being given a makeover and lick of paint . A few of wall areas could take a large image of old teams or players to make it feel more like a club bar .Are plans in place to alter the stand yet ?
