I'm a big fan but in the cold light of day do people think this has been a successful venture for either party?
I so wanted him to do well and frankly shut the mouths of some on here but it is now looking like age and injuries are really taking there toll on him.
I just don't see him being a regular in the team again and after all, wasn't that why he joined us from Millwall to get games? My guess is he will end up back at Millwall in some kind of coaching or even commercial role.

Don't really know what goes on behind the scenes. Superficially it could be seen as a disappointing signing in terms of games played and goals scored but the team, since he arrived has scored a lot of goals and who knows whether his experience is passed on to other strikers in training?

Maybe he might get a coaching role at RH rather than going back to Millwall. Maybe it was just an unfortunate bit of business. He publicly conducts himself well and appears to command the same respect from the majority of supporters so all in all it might be a few bob lost but who knows what we gained?

He will be ahead of Benyon when he's fit and offers something different in terms of options so still think he will be a part of the team.

Been a flop really. He has shown glances of what he could do but I imagine for what we must be paying him PS might feel its wasnt money well spent.

Did well last season I thought. Not sure what people expected from a 34-year-old when he turned up. Will certainly play a part this year as well, his partnership with Freddy tail end of last year was superb.

Overall it hasn't paid off as we all would have hoped. I'm sure Harris himself would agree to that. His injuries have been a problem and after playing a lot in pre-season and then not figure when he has been fit, it's unlikely he'll be a regular from here on in. That and the fact Sturrock is bringing in a lot of strikers suggests he doesn't consider Harris a starter. Shame, but thats football I suppose. Would imagine he does offer a lot behind the scenes and maybe thats where his future lies.

Really? PS hasn't brought in a lot of strikers. He's effectively replaced Dickinson with Assombalonga, and brought in Clarke-Harris to cover injuries to both Corr and Harris. Clarke-Harris is also only here for a month. How that can be seen as not seeing Harris as a starter is beyond me. (It may well be the case that Harris doesn't start too many games, but I don't agree with your reasoning.)

I'm afraid Neil has arrived about 5 years too late... if we wanted him as a regular starting striker. As mentioned above, I think he will be part of the coaching team sooner rather than later, and that will be his future rather than playing.

Shame, but time catches us all in the end.

Tbh I think we are now starting to play a way that suits him and still think he has much to offer on and off the pitch.
If we keep plyaing football as we have I feel he will contribute and prove a few doubters wrong

To be fair, we've signed Benyon, Eastwood, Assombalonga and now Clarke-Harris since we signed Harris. I don't agree that Assombalonga was a replacement for Dickinson because Dickinson was a replacement for Barry Corr who is now fit (ish).

I've never felt that Harris was a Paul Sturrock striker and the manager's signings since have never shown a huge amount of faith in him.

Don't really see what you don't get. Harris isn't seen by Sturrock as a first choice striker and the fact that he doesn't pick him as one when fit backs that up!
Also, Sturrock has signed Clarke-Harris, Eastwood, Tomlin and Assombalonga this season. Add Benyon, Corr and Harris himself to that list of options we have up top, then that suggests that PS has signed a lot of strikers.

I said when we signed him that a 3 year deal was too much for a player his age. Ashley Cole cant get a 3 year deal and he is a bit younger.

I thought he actually started to produce the goods at the end of last season but doubt we will get a lot from him going forward.

Didn't one of our strikers (Freddy?) recently say that they've benefited a lot from Harris being in training? Might be wrong though.
