well, sat in my front room at about 11.15 this morning, I was just writing a post asking ' am I the only person who is not going to todays game' as I am well skint at the mo, (since Brian left Westlife, I havent had any double work) then my good friend 'Sebastion Weetabix' phoned me up and said hes driving up with Littleman, and that if I can find my entrance fee, he will sort the rest (proper man thanks hound) so there I was after mopping all morning I was surprisingly going to the match. leaving about 12 we where on our way, I managed to but a pack of beers for the journey, and had them polished off by Duxford, so by now with the added sun, as you could imagine I was getting a nice midd afternoon sweat. we arrived about 1.15 parked at the McDonalds and made our way to the Cambridge Supporters club, although you would never know as it was totally full of Southend. Also managed to have a quick chat with David Crown, who had trqavelled up to see his good friend Rob Newman. It was strange to see so many Norwich fans in there supporters club, obviously not content in seeing there team getting relegated, they thought they would go and see another club getting the drop as well!!. What a shock it was to get a call from a mate at 2.10 informing m, if I inteneded getting in the ground, then I better go and que up for a ticket, as there was about 200 people queing when I arrived, mini panic broke out n the shrimpers que, when it was anounced that there was only 20 places available in the seats, for a milli second I feared for my life in the stampead!!, after about 20 mins I was in and well surprised and happy to see so many shrimpers fans ( or day trippers as superfan 'the General' calls it) in the ground, it reminded me of the good old days of the late 80's and early 90's, loads of old faces and plenty of atmoshere. You where all at the game you all have your own opinions so I dont need to tell you the rest.

People I saw today.
My mate Damion the devil from wickford
The Cat
Whitto
Sexy Sue( you know who you are)
Johney 'elmo putney' Cambell
Micky from Bar Vic
The CS Youth (who ever you are)
and lots and lots of happy people in blue.

I only wrote this post to let you all know that I know David Crown.

top day
regards Cockles

Explain?

I know Southend have/had a CS Gas crew, but is this still active??

Is this a new crew?

Wasn't there some trouble with Col Ewe in the 80's with CS Gas?

I'm sure we had a CS Gas crew back in the eighties and early nineties! And i'm sure this crew threw a bottle of CS gas into a pub full of Col Ewe fans!!

Can anyone explain??

Seem to remember Tony The Builder talking about it! He who produced the fanzine "Whats The Story Southend Glory".
He now follows East Thurrock United i think, as he had a major falling out with the club!
