We need a new striker big time!

Harrold is just not upto the job, and Hooper didn't look good either. The pair didn't play well together as well. when you look at our strikers, who can we honestly say is going to bang the goals in this season?

Why oh why does Tilly leave subs so late in the game again? Hasn't he learnt from last season? What does he honestly write down in his notes he makes??? Sure takes an age for a sub to get off the bench and eventually come on.

It was just like watching dross from last season, nothing has changed.

Orient have had to totally re-build their squad too!!

What did we honestly offer??

The only player that came out with any credit on saturday was Barrett!!

I think it's going to be a long hard season.

I heard some people on the way out of the ground say Tilson wont last the season, i have to agree.

Where's the Eastwood money gone???

Say it again, Freddy and an inspired Flavs took us up, Tilson took far too much credit as most teams with them 2 would have gone up. For last season and this Saturday it has shown what he is really all about, poor judge of a player and still very naive tactically!

As for poor judge of player, I find that funny. Fergie takes all the credit for the likes of Beckham/Giggs/Nevilles etc etc, however do you actually think it was him who spotted them? Of course not. If going to give abuse to Tilly for Harrold, then he has to take the credit for Freddy.

If we had of come out and thumped Leyton Orient 4-0, would you have been on here saying that's it, we're going to win the league this season, that was the greatest 90 minutes of football we had ever seen? Answer, no, of course you wouldnt.... I doubt we would have seen you for dust... until we had lost our first game of the season of course, at which point, then the manager, the assistant manager, the board, the chairman and the ticket office should all resign and hand the club over to Anton Johnson and Alvin Martin because they would do a better job!!!

Many of the points they make are worthy of debate and i would imagine based upon the apparent continuation of tactics/performance, from last seasons debacle. At least they are stating their reasons for concern (justified or not) rather than the mantra of excuses for what in all essence looked a pretty average team.

I have no history of following Wiggy's posts, but unfortunately have been of the opinion that Freddy and a bit of Flavs playing out of his skin were the reasons for promotions. I have often posted that we were a one man team and I am desperate to be proved wrong.

I don't get too excited by winning or losing the first game but it is there for all to see that we are shot shy amongst our forwards so will be relying on the Gowers to secure wins for us.

This is crunch year for Tilson. Ron does not want to seemingly release much of the Freddy money and he may feel he cannot progress the club further with the current squad.

Meanwhile, his peer group like Gary Johnson, P.I.G have moved onto bigger things one way or another collecting some dosh aswell.

I think that Tilly is very slow to make telling substitutions and I don't think buying non-league strikers is going to work every time , Freddy was a true exception. I have sat and watched many games and thought that Tilly and Brush have been out-thought by opposing managers, perhaps T & B are not quite the dynamic managers we think they are.
As for your comment re small clubs and strikers , Col Ewe did very well with Jamie Cureton last year, if they can do it why can't we ?

Well so did we with Eastwood and after that Goater, but it cant be done every year can it , that is what I am saying.
