Had the fortune to be at Notts County yesterday and here are a few thoughts for what they are worth.

Adam Barrett is a different class who givers 100 per cent to everything and has the making of a true Southend legend and lets hope we can keep him at the club and that tw*t Peter Taylor doesnt try to lure him away.

For me Lawrie Dufield is the only striker we havr worth his salt.
Twice he put Gray in a superb scoring position but twice he f**ked up and if you had a decent striker it would have been 4-0 and we wouldnt have been biting our nails with five minutes too go.
Like Barrett he works tirelesly for theteam and is commited which is superb considering some of the to**ers we have had over the years.

Last but not least our fans.
Must have had about 500 yesterday who didnt stop getting behind the team who responded with a good team performance.

Bring on the skum.

Commentary stated 450 Shrimpers made the journey, so close call BtD. Superb support.

I was watching a delayed transmission on WBA v Fulham last night (nice boxing moves from Andy Cole!) and the commentator said that 500 Fulham fans made the journey to Albion!

If this is true, and they're a Premiersh*te side, our 450 away fans, all the way up in Notts, is amazing.

Shrimpers sounded in great voice on Blues World... and that's saying something.

Truth is Fulham are a Premiership club in name only. I was chatting to a West Ham fan on the train on the way back to Surrey from one of our home games last season and he was saying how Fulham had taken only a few hundred to Upton Park for their FA Cup match a few weeks earlier. We took nearly four thousand.

Cracking turnout on Saturday.
