My ratings from tonight

flavs..7...Made at least one customary great reflex save. Only critsism would be his well documented reluctance to control the 6 yard box.

Hammell...7...Fairly solid performance. His job is made more difficult by having to think for gower as well as himself.

Hunt...6... Better performance from hunt but still a weak link in both defence and attack.

Barrett...10...Absolute stonking performance tonight. Hardly put a foot wrong and when he did was always back as the last line of defence.

Clarke...9...Would have been 10 but for the own goal. (although on seeing the replay perhaps flavs might have to share the blame)

JCR..9...Ran his little socks off. You could see the birmingham defence was scared rotten of his ability. One fantastic run and cross should have ended in a goal but for bradbury's pansy header.

Gower...4...Only as high as that for the goal. Went missing for most of the game and was in the pocket of there defender. Beaten for skill and pace most night. Left hammell facing 2 men most of the game.

Maher..10.. Captains performance. Won everything in midfield hard as nails and even hit a few dead balls the right direction.

McCormack..8.. Usual swaskbuckling performance till he picked up an injury.

Freddie..7...Took his goal well but still appears to give up the chase too early.

Bradbury...6... Good flick-ons tonight but woefull attacking' headrers need work on. Lacking in pace once again.

Subs........

Francis...7.. Not long to shine but looked far better in the right back slot than hunt.

Ginge...6.. Not really long enough to make a fair assessment.

I would say that is a pretty fair assesment although i would up marky gowers rating to around a 6/7. First half, he was awful, but i think someone must have stuck a rocket up his a**e cause he came out 100 times better in the 2nd.

I would also say Eastwoods performance was a hell of alot better than it has been recently. Faded slightly in the last 10 mins but most probably knackered as it was the most running hes done for months!!

All in all, What a performance!!! Delighted i decided to go up there now. I wasn't optimistic whatsoever on the way up and even more so when they scored but the lads showed great courage and determenation to fight back!

Come on you blue boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from Brum and agree that BBB's comments are pretty much spot on.
However i would only give Gower a 2 or 3 out of 10 , because he did jack all game. And then slotted home the 3rd goal , when i had bet on SUFC winning 2-1 with Freddie scoring last goal at 150/1 and i also had Freddie as last scorer at 9/1. Where's the justice - he should have blasted over !!!!!!!

Barrett...10...Absolute stonking performance tonight. Hardly put a foot wrong and when he did was always back as the last line of defence.

Great to see - If he keeps this up ORM will be eating some very large humble pie in a few weeks time. :fart:
