M'voto

Yes I agree with that but when I said we already had 2 left backs, I was including Barrett in that.
Whilst not looking the most natural of fullbacks, our record is very good when he plays there. Personally I would have looked at getting in another centre half in the Dervite mould to play alongside Mvoto and move Barrett to left back with Herd as cover.

Yes that could work, but we have enough problems with playing players out of position, just look at Francis having played centre half, Grant playing right midfield and Moussa playing left midfield. I'd like us to play players in their natural position like Barrett at centre half.

Granted, his a decent option there, and if Dervite was available I'd love a back line of Barrett Dervite M'Voto and Francis, but Barrett has been very good at centre half so far this season, getting back to the Barrett of old.

Now, if only Macca could do that...

If we could have the old macca back it would be like a new signing, granted him and Barrett arent getting any younger.

If Dervite became available I'd have him back in a flash and would consider Barrett as a LB as I think he does a capable job there.

Well when asked last season who he preferred to play alongside and who complemented his game Macca said Granty, no question. The fact that these 2 started at Stockport and may therefore be set to pair up in the midfield in future games gives me hope that we may see some of the old Macca in his performances as he'll be playing alongside his preferred partner.

I hope so, sounded like we missed them both on Tuesday. Grant isn't a winger simple as, although he gives Francis good cover when he goes forward he needs to be in the middle for me.

Different situation to Moussa who is good enough going forward but maybe dosent cover Friend or Herd as much as he should.

On the odd occassion I have seen Moussa play in the middle I've not been overley impressed, Its a case of a square peg in a round hole but I think the peg is getting rounder.

in my opinion, and trust me i thought he was a clown when we first signed him, we really missed grant last night.

he's simple on the ball but his workrate off it is second to none

jfc was a waste of space last nite in my honest view

from what i saw last nite sankofa did alrite at centre back but after watching that shambles, apart from mildy and sawyer in spurts, there wasn't a lot to go on

we really miss m'voto, he reminds me of sodje in a way

fingers crossed 1-nil friday (to us)

keep lambert quiet and we're laughing but who's this other guy that keeps scoring............papa shango i think his name is

Papa Waigo, he's on loan from Fiorentina. Going by wiki he's scored 1 in 5 but I'm not sure how up to date those stats are.

Adam Lallana will also be a threat for them going forward.

Waigo scored twice in the Paint game vs Torquay. Lallana is a good and their defence is pretty decent too, Kelvin Davis is a top keeper also.
If Barney and Mvoto are missing could be another drubbing.

I'm not feeling too confident. The only hope I'm going on is that the players really react to the bollocking they've clearly had.

Or they'll just sulk and crumble....

Going by Barney's comments on the official site, I think it will have a positive effect on the side.

so is M'voto fit or not

Well, he was due back from Sunderland this week after recieving treatment up there (which is normal for loan players to go back and get treated).

He was still injured for the MK Dons game on Tuesday night so I'm guessing he will be missing again on Friday, but there has no confirmation either way as yet. Unless Tilson says it in his interview on Blues Player.

I'm sure he'll play next week then, just hope Sankofa again has a decent game tonight as Lambert will be his biggest test so far.

Well I hope Lambert has a game like he did last time at RH, Sankofa/Barrett needs to give him a little kick early, ok you may take a booking but it lets him know he's not in for an easy night.

Anyone think we got half a chance of signing M'Voto?

No.

As I posted yesterday, I'm really hoping that Franno is back at centre half tonight with Sankofa at right back. If Lallana is pulling over to the left then we'll need Sankofa on him rather than Franno, as whoever plays there will no doubt get sod all help from Laurent.

Why not? Is he highly rated at Sunderland?

Obviously I know money may be an issue.

I'd suggest that we'd have the same problem as we did with Dervite and as we did originally with Sawyer. Sunderland will no doubt want to loan him to the Championship next. When we signed him Tilly came out and said straight away that we wouldn't be able to sign him permanently at the end of his loan.
