Music Films

Firestorm

Pedant
Remember the days when bands / musicians used to make films as well ?

Bill Haley and Elvis started it, Then Cliff, the beatles etc

Whats everyone favourite (If of course you have one)

Flame and Quadrophenia for me

Tommy! It's two hours of absolute nonsense with some particularly odd singing from Olly Reed and a horrific cameo from Keith Moon as a dirty uncle. Yikes!

This is Spinal Tap!

I prefer music series', there's nothing like sitting down and watching SClub and reminising over the times when Paul was in the band.

Tommy with Keith Moon's wicked Uncle Ernie, Quadrophenia was the best of them all.

Not strictly on topic, but Woodstock was fantastic.

Still happens. Eminem's 8 Mile?
Fiddy's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" is to be released soon as well, isn't it...?

As for the fave... well, it's obvious isn't it?!

Spice World. British film-making at its zenith.

IIRC both musicians and Comedians had a spate of doing films in the 70's

David Essex 3 times !!!
Slade
IIRC the Glitterband did a film and I am sure some others ddi

As for the comedians Dick Emery , Cannon & Ball amongst others

I was trying to remember that Glitterband film, and then got to Young Girl by Gary Puckett and The Union Gap.

IIRC Suzi Quatro turned up in Happy Days.

I'm also a fan of 'Take It or Leave It' by the incomparable Madness.

Gary Glitter was in "Remember me this way"

The Glitterband film was You’re Never Too Young To Rock” . The film featured MUD, alongside the Rubettes and the Glitter Band.

I may be showing my ignorance but was this anything to do with Gary Glitter?

They started off as his backing band but later recorded under their own name

The 70's more camp version of Cliff and the Shad's I spose

ABBA: the Movie. A sort of story wound around the backcloth of the bands Australian tour.

I've Got a Horse. Billy Fury owns the Derby winner.

The Great Rock and Roll Swindle. The Sex Pistols - marvellous
