mine isnt working after downloading the new version.....anyone else having the same problem? or a solution would be much appreciated as i hate the damn internet explorer

sorry mate, but mine works fine after updating. may be worth getting on a firefox forum on IE, and seeing if they can help

Have you tried Avant? I have used it for agaes and its good. They advertise themselves as the fastest browser available.

yeah, i got the little pop-up thing, and after it installed, every time i try opening firefox i get a crash report. will try avant, thanx

Stodge would help if you actually put what version of the browser you are using.

the version is 3.0.1

thats the one....i just kept delaying the update for ages

maybe try a complete uninstall and re-install... it sounds to me like it didn't install properly if it's not even loading up

also if you have a registry cleaner then uninstall it, clean the registry and then reinstall

done twice...downloaded it again straight from mozilla website.....still nothing. ah well im getting used to avant now....it is damn quick if anything

i personally dont like avant. if u cant get firefox to work, its probably worth giving google chrome a go. go on to google and there is a link there. it is a beta version but has already been tested thoroughly with no major problems at all. and it's very nice to look at.
ps. i actually dont work for google....in fact i need a job.....anyone....?

Not sure if these feature on Firefox but the URL alias single keys on Avant are excellent, eg. just type z inot the address bad to straight to the Shrimperzone, and also the mouse gestures, particularly to open and close new windows, are really good.

extensions on firefox are second to none and firefox 3 does have a smart url bar so shrimperzone is easy to find, mines a bookmark tho so one click is all i need. dont even need to press z.
