Most underrated players of all time

That is a fair summary; big, strong, fast, two footed, good header, powerful shooter. Stan should have been a greater centre forward for England than Shearer, Owen or Fowler.

Much as i loved Stan - like all Shrimpers - he was much too fragile emotionally to be as great as Shearer. If he was less tempremental..that is another story.
But no way.

Yep. Stan at 3 is underrated underrated. Can't help thinking that Nigel Clough at 5 is overrated underrated.

Can't stress enough what a terrible illness depression is. It's not about being sad or emotional...its a very serious mental health issue.

I have usually great respect for your comments on most things Massimo but on this occasion, I'm afraid you are very wide of the mark. Collymore, as great a striker as he was couldn't hold a light to Shearer or Owen. Fowler might be debatable from a England point of view but as a club player, he was almost faultless. Collymore had issues which might well have held him back a little but Shearer and Owen were a different class.
