Difficult to tell after only three games, while we are missing a tall midfielder I have reservations over whether Benno would have been able to cope at this level.

Benno definitely. His toughness would have helped break up some of the attacks from Palace and QPR. As JCR's "end product" has yet to materialise this season Benno would have been a better bet IMO.

Granted JCR is faster and allegedly terrorises defenders, but unless he produces something....Benno would have done as good a job.

I've really missed the opportunity to laugh at Che Wilson so far this year

None of the players listed above would have cut it this season, that's why we let them go. I do miss The Goat though

For me, we've missed none of those players as none of them were good enough to make the step up. As for Benno breaking up the attacks against Palace and QPR, it's difficult to understand how he'd have done that from the bench because, as sure as you like, he wouldn't have been playing.

We outplayed CP in the first half and more than matched QPR in the second half. Difficult to see how we'd have fared any better with Bentley IMHO.

Agree with most people who've said they wouldnt cut it at this level.. So went for none of them.. Think so far I've missed Sodje and look forward to him being fit again!!

I agree. A Bentley-type player yes, but not Bentley himself. I reckon he'd have been out of his depth and would be clocking up more suspensions than Roy McDonough.

PS - ta for the Simon Francis cheque, paid in yesterday

Wayne Gray all day for me!

I'd rather have him upfront than Badbuy!

I think Gray's pace would have been good in the CCC.

Plus he linked up with Freddy well.

Steve, you of all people should know how to spell Pettefer............

Agree with most on here, don't miss any of them. They did their jobs very well, but none of them would have cut the mustard at the higher level, that's why they were released.

And the players brought in to replace them on the whole look far superior. Having said that, I do get the point about a Bentley-type player, which is why Tilly has said he would still like to bring another central midfielder in, I suppose.

none of the players in the poll - the player we are missing most at the minute is Efe Sodje. We had our wobbly patch after we lost Efe at the end of the season, no co-incidence. As for the others, all good servants but mainly laegue 1 players who would have struggled at this level.
