Most impressive result of the season

Yep for me tonight was the finest result we've had all season, going to the Vetch Field and nabbing a point is a magnificent result and proves categorically now that we CAN most definitely win automatic promotion this season.

I really don't understand how wiggy can be so negative about a point at the Vetch? Also just to give my two-penny's worth on why Gower and Eastwood didn't start, Freddy was dynamite from the bench on Saturday and I'm not surprised Tilly went with Gray's pace alongside Duds with Freddy to come on fresh later in the game. Regarding Gower I know wiggy wanted him in the starting XI but firstly how can you drop Benno/Petts after last Saturday's performance and secondly whoever Gower replaced you'd have lost more solid defensive cover for Hunt down the right if we'd gone with Gower's creativity - while you can get away with that against many teams in this division Swansea is not one of them.

Well done boys though, absolutely fantastic result....bring on Scunny! By the way just seen the goals on Sky - Wayne took his superbly.

A win against Sc**thorpe is a MUST!

Great result, if someone had offered a point before the game I would have bitten their hand off!

And well done Cambridge for doing us a favour aswell last night, hopefully Kiddie can do the same today!

UP THE BLUES!!

Think last night has to be one of the few tiimes when, as Southend fans, we've been able to sing "what the f*ck*ng hell is that?" at a mascot.

Like him, or loathe him, Cyrril is a class mascot, but that red thing? Hmmmmmm
