The Business
What do we need most. If you were Tilson and could sign one position up what would it be and why. Personally I am desperate for a decent left winger that can chip in with a few goals.

We havent had anyone close to replacing G-Man since Ldn Fasto hounded him out the club . HRK did well and would be my pick of players to come in but cant see that unless Reading get ideas above there station.

I think if Barney + Another could get decent service from that side it would make so much difference. Moussa has done a decent job and I do like him but he is not G-Man.

right winger for me, a really good nippy winger who can put in killer crosses would suit me down to the ground, I think we have the forwards(service provided) I think mooooooos could really develop into a cracking player(even on the left) and come close to being the new gower, herd at left back with AB and francis at centre back, sorted ,this football management lark seems like a piece of cake to me

Left Back is the biggest problem as far as i can see. Barrett is not the answer and especially now when we probably have no Devitte or Clarkey in the middle for next season.

I don't think a CB pairing of Barrett/Francis is good enough.

Untested, but I've always been fairly impressed when Francis has played at CB. There is no doubt that we need a LB and a CB, but the first thing is to get a LB so that Barrett can move back to the centre and we can pair him with a new CB that complements him

Surely the way in which this season unfolded told us everything we strongly suspected already: that our squad has, ever since Spinner and Sodje left, had a huge gap at centre-half in terms of someone who was commanding, tall and experienced.

Until Dervitte signed, we were 17th and looking like we could get sucked into a relegation scrap.

After Dervitte signed, we rose to 7th (finishing 8th) and looked like we might sneak into the playoffs.

Case closed, surely?

Matt

Pretty obvious, we need a Dorian replacement. Everything starts from the back, need an organiser and aerial presence. Get that sorted then look at other positions.

It has now got to be the centre-half position as we have only got one CB definitely on the books for next season. Very closely after this is getting a LB (I would love to get Jones from Crewe) as I don't think that Herd is good enough to be first choice yet.

A new manager, the season ended over two weeks ago and we STILL haven't signed any players. What's Tilly doing, shocking.

;-)

All about the spine of the team , every great team has a strong spine , so would like to see a 2 new CB's , one playmaker CM and a decent forward , saying that is the easy part , getting th eright personel will be prove tough with the funds we may have available .
