Wikepedia gives Glen Morris' height as six-foot - it doesn't seem it to me.
And although I wasn't there against Crawley on Tuesday, one can see players shaking their heads on the highlights when he dropped the ball in front of Tubbs for their offside goal.
In fact, that game brought all the boy's failings to the surface: not imposing enough, and not savvy enough in a tough league.
Nearly every posting I've read reckons he does OK. I was rather hoping it might occasionally say he saved us a point - or all three.
Yeah, I know a loan keeper costs, but their goal at Accrington, the rush of blood to the head at Port Vale for their first, and the feeling he's going to drop the next fierce shot or corner throughout the season so far worries me mightily...

Morris is a good keeper for this level and showed it last season, every keeper goes through a stage of the 'wobbles' at some point, we should back him.

We have a good keeper in Morris and his understudy bentley so this is another pointless thread to be totally honest

You actually base your opinion on what you read on a message board or what it says on wikipedia...saddo alert. Clean sheet again, how many pts has Morris cost us = 0. The wonder save at the end v Accrington won us the game. Made fewer mistakes all last season than Evans did in about 10 games. Try watching goals from Prem to Div 2 each week and see the blunders made by keepers every single week.

Agreed, just look at the standard of goalkeepers in the England squad,we don't do great confident keepers no more even at the top flight,Morris will do for me.UTB

If this is Morris's 'wobbly' period he should be in the England squad.

I think morris is good keep for this level. Are we still without a goalkeeping coach? That could be more of a problem.

Actually, I was sceptical of Wikepedia - it says so in the opening paragraph.
The 'wonder save' at Accrington won the game because Morris had put it on a knife edge by allowing them to get back in it.
I agree Evans was hardly the answer - but hardly a comparison, eh? I'll scour the memory banks for last season's goals and get back to you.

morris is the weak link in this team he will cost us more points than he earns us this season, would love a new keeper, he is OK but thats the best i can say about him

Fact you can't even name a mistake off top of your head says it all. Try going to a game every now and then and you might form your own opinion.

Been going to games for more years than I care to remember.
No, not true. I remember Simon Royce/Darryl Flahavan/Paul Sansome/Mervyn Cawston/and even Mildenhall - now his save against Chelsea was a 'wonder' - at their best. But have yet to be wholly impressed by our Glen - nice chap that he is no doubt.

Sort of knew you didn't have a clue when you said "I wasn't there against Crawley on Tuesday", but "that game brought all the boy's failings to the surface". Talk about his height and then list 5 legends of which only 2 are taller. In my opinion he's performed very well in his 40 odd games for us, and think its pretty sad that people are jumping on him when from what we've heard the lad has been struggling with a virus. Hall's been struggling too with a virus, give them a break.

According to the many fans rating on the Pringello Index, Morris has an average rating of 6.27 (out of 10) for this season so far, higher than Hall, Grant, Mohsni, Ferdinand and Harris in fact. Does this mean, we should be looking to replace these players too?!

Players have blips, and as goalkeepers mistakes are highlighted further. MOTM performance against Burton showed he still has what it takes!

Yes ship them all out they are all rubbish. Hall took a couple of bad corners v's Burton he's a donkey.

No mention of a few of our greatest keepers in comparison --- what about Carl Emberson, Mark Prudoe or Mel Capelton.? You can't just cherry-pick.

Don't think he looks as sharp as last season. In fairness to him i presume goalkeeping coach still not replaced and at least he had an experienced keeper in Evans to train with last season. Is the training regime good enough to get the best out of him? I know from experience as keeper in different sport that one session with a dedicated keeping coach did more for me than half a dozen with a general coach. Not intended to be a criticism of PS and GC's coaching but coaching keepers is a specialist job.

Pardon? 'Sort of knew you didn't have a clue' because I missed one game? 'Sort of knew' - is that like slightly pregnant? That 'virus' has lasted a bit if you ask me.
And might one politely remind, because you do have a clue of course, that at least four of the keepers I mentioned played for the team in the fourth tier of the Football League.
Presumably, it's much harder to now to get a decent keeper at this level.
Presumably,

How's the memory? You still thinking? Showing your age.
