Moooosssseee to Derby rumour?

C C Csiders

Life President
A Derby supporting colleague has mentioned that there is something on one of their supporters' forums stating they are to sign the Mooooooooooooooooooooooossssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee at the end of the season for £200k.

Can't find a link myself, and just reporting what is probably another random rumour.

Just did a search and this post came up

SOUTHEND UNITED

Alan McCormack will join Rochdale on loan for the remainder of the season after Saturday's game at the MK Dons. The likelihood is that this deal will become permanent at the end of the season with a fee in the region of £50,000 agreed between the two clubs.

Colchester United will pursue prompt payments on the loans of Scott Vernon and Pat Baldwin. If these are not received the two players will be recalled from their loans. As Southend have previous in this respect it is a reasonable likelihood that the Southend squad will be reduced by two at the end of March.

With the ongoing financial troubles Southend will sell the following players at the end of the season:

Steve Mildenhall and Simon Francis (MK Dons £150,000 joint deal)
Frank Moussa (Derby County) £200,000
Francis Laurent (Ipswich) £50,000
Johnny Herd (Cambridge United) Free Transfer
Jean-Francois Christophe (Stade Lavallois) Free Transfer

There is also word that Adam Barrett is wanted by Swindon Town, but it is unlikely that this deal will be struck as the player will wish to remain at Southend to see out his contract. The chances are that he will also be payer-manager at some point next season.

The outgoing players will be replaced by loans and the three members of the youth team that will be given 1 year development contracts (Bentley, Crawford and Reynolds). Add to this a number of local non-league trialists will be invited to pre-season training with a view to taking 2 or 3 on (names mentioned are Junior Dadson of Aveley, Robert Edmans of Chelmsford City, Jimmy Webb and Adam Holmes of Great Wakering Rovers).

The saving on the wage bill plus the small transfer fees should see Southend stave off administration until at least the New Year 2011. Beyond that, who knows?

There are likley to be no diggers at the new site throughout the rest of this year and well into 2011 (if at all), but the supermarket chain that has acquired Roots Hall is getting twitchy to be on site by July 2011 at the very latest. If not, they will demand action and the club is seeking out a ground-share option to allow the superarket to be built, with the favoured options being Gillingham, Barnet and Luton Town (!)

Another midfielder. Ex-Belgian under 18 international.

Bloody hell! That's all a bit detailed to be complete BS.

Wages O'Sin to Rochdale makes sense, I think.

JFC to Stade Lavallois isn't that French for Khazi City?

No its far too detailed to be true.

What a load of crap.

As if anyone would know the destination of all those players and the players will will be bringing in.

And in other news, Southend have signed Serbian forward Ivegot20forfinishingand18forpaceanovitch from an unknown club on a free transfer.

(c) Football Manager 2010.

Pretty detailed though, considering its on a Derby forum and they know the ins and outs of the club very well by the sound of it!?

Very interesting, if taken with a tiny pinch of salt at this stage...

Who in their right ****ing mind would leave to join Rochdale? The only bit in that that i reckon has any chance of happening is the 2 Col Ewe boys being recalled for non payment.

The fact they are likely to be in L1 next season, unlike a certain other team we all know & love...

Anybody who believes an ounce of that needs their head examined...

Especially the bit about diggers being on site (other than at Roots Hall with us groundsharing) sometime in the next 18 months...

As I said above, I do think there might be something in the Macca rumour & presumably Derby after buying from us before will have scouted Moussa too...

Just a quick question, but if Football-rumours.com seem to have heard that we've staved off administration until 2011 then why didn't Ron just place us in administration back in November rather than delay the inevitable?

Secondly, why would Roy Keane want to take on Francis Laurent? He's not Irish and hasn't played for Sunderland.

Finally, Johnny Herd I doubt is anywhere near the highest wage earner at the club, probably one of the lowest pros, why would we ship him out on a free if this is the case and replace him with someone from Sporting Beerguts of the Pitsea and Vange 5 a side combination Premier Division on more than likely the same wage?

a well crafted work of fiction by mystic meg, bloody hope so anyway.

made me think about what may actually happen tho, we simply have to stay up. im seeing the current state of affairs and still a bit in denial,
it would simply be disastrous

it would simply be disastrous

Or the dawning of a new era?

Someone comes in, kinda like Ramsey on kitchen nightmares, we become a club living within it's means, acting on the basis that we're giving players a chance, paying next to naff all cash and letting them realise their "dream" if the club comes along. It may not be exciting, but at least we can have a club that can compete and have the new ground on the way.

Look what happened to Ian Beale, he lost everything but he's all the more better now isn't he?

Funny how during the transfer windows we have no information at all until a day or two before someone joins, if that.

Yet this guy knows the future of about 15 players 5 months in advance.

If he knows the insides and outs of the club so well why is he saying Barrett will be player manager next season. Thats absurd!
