A lorry driver arrives at a fork in the road. One road bears North, one South. There is a river a few miles ahead. Both the North and South options cross the river but the bridge on one of these routes is broken. He has to get across the river.

There are a pair of identical twins, Bill and Ben, sitting on a bench at the road junction. Bill only ever tells the truth. Ben only ever tells lies.

What single question can the lorry driver ask either of the twins, in order to find out which road to take.

How about a bloke goes into a town that has two hairdressers. One of the hairdressers is in a run down shop and has a bad haircut. The other is in a really smart shop and has a really good haircut.

Which one should he go to and why?
