I've had a look at the stats.

In terms of actual goals scored, where his goals have made a difference to a it being a draw or a loss.

NOT in terms of assists, or defensive duties.

Also, please bear in mind the majority of games he was not a striker.

In 2010/11:

H v Accies, scored a goal in 1-1 draw
H v Bury, scored a goal in 1-1 draw
H v Oxford, scored a goal in 2-1 win

One sending off in a loss

In 2011/12: 5 games his goals made the difference
First game, scored the winner in a 1-0 v Hereford
H V Northampton, scored a goal to keep a draw at 2-2
A v Crewe, scored 2 goals to give us 3-1 win
H v Crewe, scored winner in a 1-0 win
H v Barnet, scored 3 goals in a 3-0 win
2 sending offs - one didn't matter as we won, the other we lost.

I make that 8 games he directly won or saved a game. And 2 games his sending off may have cost us.

Overall, we did well out of him for 2 seasons. I think if not west Ham, a CCC club will have him.

Liam Dickinson scored 12 goals or something but still had one of the worst first touches I've ever seen on a professional footballer. Does that make him good?

Scored 2 when he come on away at Northampton early in the year. We were not winning at the time.

Don't think his talent or ability was ever in doubt, more his poor attitude and tendency to lose the plot leading to poor team moral.

Plenty of very talented players have wasted their careers through poor attitude and a lack of professionalism, I hope for his sake Bilel sorts himself out wherever he goes.

Yes, but we won 5-2, so Naps would not have included this game.

Although as everyone else who was there will agree he totally changed the game, and we would have lost without him.

1st game of the 2010/2011 season Blair Sturrock rescues a point at home against an awful Stock Pot County side with a predators finish off his knee. I firmly believe that had we lost that game, confidence would have drained from the newly formed side, we would have drifted pointless through the season, been relegated twice by now and been either preparing for the Conference South or have disappeared completely. For that reason Blair Sturrock has made the greatest contribution of any player in the history of SUFC.

You can't polish a **** and this is what this situation is. We helped him and gave him numerous chances at the club and then he just decided to **** off somewhere else without repaying any of the faith we kept with him.

If you're trying to make a legend out of Mohsni, then we may as well start heralding that ginger prick who fulfilled several "dream" moves.

Sorry. Trying to make Mohsni anything more than he turned out to be just doesn't sit well with me!

Have you been watching Spaced and noting Simon Pegg's 'most important man in Star Wars theory'? I guess Blair would recognise that as he is a Jedi Master.

It worked for Shaun Goater. Footballers tend to be remembered based on contribution rather than technical ability, this applies even more strictly to strikers than any other player as they have a very noticeable goal-to-game ratio by which they are judged. Whereas it is true to say that they can provide their worth to the team in other areas, if they have scored a goal then they have done their job for the team.

Dicko scored 12 goals in 33 starts and 4 substitute appearances, which works out at about 1 in every 3 games, a respectable record for a striker.

So as a short answer to your question: Yes.

The stats do not look too bad, but for me you have to weigh these up against the erraticness (If thats a word :winking:) of the man. I think it is obvious why he was not picked up by a decent (professional) side back in France.

I will remember him there's no doubt, but get some £££ in and see the side and changing room improve.

These are not stats but these incidents were in just two seasons:

Sending off's
Bookings
Constant Petulance
Disrupted the dressing room
'Special treatment'
Scissorsgate (Orient in Cup)
Traingate (Twice IIRC)
AWOL on a few occasions
Anger management classes (boxing)
Club constantly having to cover his tracks
Never showed for pre season
Anfield taken from our grasp :'(
Constantly shooting from 40+ yards
......these are just the things we know about.

I am not a hater of Mohsni (although I sound like one), I just see past the passion and community stuff that many fans only seem to see.

If the £££ means keeping Ryan Hall, then thanks Bilel but good luck.
