Question Mobile Phone Contracts

southend4ever

I used to play a little.
Hello All,

Any recommendations for companies that offer good deals? I am fully aware that palming these companies off against each other gets a good deal but in your experience have you come across and good contracts.

I am after the following

Contract - 12-24 months
Minutes - 800+
Texts - 500+
Phone - Considering an Iphone or Blackberry although I think I will get a company Blackberry soon.
Phone Cost - Minimal (currently with o2 - could probably blag a v good free one)

Anything you could recommend or similar to this?

Thanks all.

Depends what you want from a phone. If you want good internet speed (based on the fact that you mention the IPhone) then I would go for the G2 on T-Mobile. The phone has the fastest download speed of any phone, period. That's partly down to the phone, and partly down to T-Mobile far superior 3G network.

I can vouch for T-Mobile as well. They will give you a blinding deal if you mention that your an O2 customer.

Maybe worth considering going through one of the 3rd party suppliers and blag yourself an iPod, PS3, Wii, LCD TV etc...

Someone like this - http://www.affordablemobiles.co.uk/ Who my missus used to get her parents a new phone, and got an iPod and a Dsi thrown in.

Orange do unlimited texts and 900 minutes for £36 (I think). Deal my missus has. Free phone, 24 month contract.

Orange also do a monthly "rolling" contract for 15 quid, unlimited texts and 200 minutes, which may suit you if you're getting a company phone. Just one months notice to cancel.

I think you will be rather restricted if you are after the iPhone, as Apple has full control of the contracts the Operators can give. Unfortunately due to the popularity/hype of the iPhone the Operators have all agreed to these terms, with other phone manufacturers the Operators have been holding all the cards, whereas with the iPhone it is the reverse.

Vodafone
Blackberry Bold

£50 per month, but it is a business account, so I probably get more for my money. I'd never look further the Vodafone, they're the daddies of the phone game.

virgin mobile
£20 a month brand spanking new mobile
