Moaning, groaning, whinging, whining

Fish

Manager
The context: We're 2-1 up, on the cusp of 6 straight victories, possibly going top after 11 games in a new division after promotion the year before.

2 years ago, I would have laughed long and hard at anyone that suggested this would be our situation now.

YET, last night, I was sat next to a bloke in the South Upper who whinged and moaned and criticised the lads virtually all night (only drowned out in the celebrations at the end). What more do they have to do before some fans actually PRAISE the players they pay to go and watch week in, week out? Also, if it's so bad, why does he bother coming at all?

It went beyond p%&sing me off, it actually saddened me. Spectators like that have NO place at the club and frankly we can do without them, especially when exhorting our lads to 'break the f%&king keepers legs and stamp on his head' and 'I want their centre forward dead'. Grow up you sad t%$&*r. Would you like your grandchildren seeing that example?

We're at the top of the league, we're outplaying most teams we are up against every week, exciting new signings and youth players coming through, TV games every 3 months on average, 6 wins on the bounce - ENJOY IT!!!

I'm not going to name you, you know who you are. I challenge you to honestly criticise the team at the moment. The league position and current form speaks for itself.

Rant over - what a fantastic result last night, againsta bogey team, an to come from behind too!

was this bloke in block I around row D? because i had a real pillock sitting behind me. I was just waiting for him to make a racist comment so that i could report him to the stewards.

I can't imagine how you can watch Smith's play in the last 5-10 minutes and do anything other than grin like an idiot. The team played well but the quality of Smith's play took me by surprise.

Smith or Guttridge for Gillingham?

Goater or Eastwood?

JCR or Cole?

Gray or Spinner?

That is why we are doing so well - any of the subs could slot straight in, and wouldn't weaken the team

I was with you all the way up to "JCR or Cole".

Surely we need to accomodate both of them.

Gotta LOVE this competition for places!

Well whoever is Moaning, groaning, whinging, whining there is a simple soultion of a quick but hard dig to the ribs and you will find tht they will soon shutup!!

Where I sit in the SU there were several people last night imploring our players to "Rip their arses out" . I felt that was a bit off.

I am afraid you will always get some people who moan thats all they do in life we all know people like that. There is probably some Chelsea fans who still moan at their games. Just wish these people were rounded up and put on a desert island and kept away from the rest of us.

To be honest, I agree but was doing direct comparisons between players replaced.

Interesting if Gower comes back and starts playing well.

Yes I heard that one too.

I'm still not entirely sure how you'd go about doing that. Especially without the ref noticing?

You obviously don't watch enough Serie 'A'.

A traditional cry that has been heard at grounds up and down the country wherever the Mightty Shrimpers have played for many years......whatever is your problem with it?

I have two moaning old blokes in front of me every bloody game, no matter how well we do. Before they used to pick on Bramble, seems they've moved onto Benno and Hunt now. They p%&s me off so much, quick to praise the opposition but even quicker to tell our players they are crap and the like

my Dad is one of these fans from the comfort of his armchair and it has actually reach the stage where I don't like entering into any kind of SUFC conversation with him as he will find something to moan about, even on occasions like last night where we've won. Last night it was because Goaters "not doing much" because hasn't scored for 2 games.

As a gynaecologist I feel it is wrong for untrained staff to attempt operations , such as "arse-ripping". This should be left to professionals like myself , actually.
