MK Dons are currently enjoying a light lunch at the Westcliff Hotel....hardly haute cuisine.

Their team bus is parked outside. The driver is trying to reinflate the tyres.

Reportedly a couple of men were seen fleeing the scene. One eye witness reported 2 males, one overweight and one very skinny moving purposefully towards The Last Post wearing similar polo shirts emblazened with the "Shrimperzone" emblem.

Ince is calling for them to be identified. Any ideas?

I remember talking to a chap who occasionally drove our team coach a few years back and he says he used to be dispatched by Vic Jobson to go and get fish and chips for everyone for the journey home!

Yea, you're spot on there as usual Nappy.

It's a long old trip from Milton Keynes & due to the excessive travel time I'd be surprised if they've not stayed both Wed & Thu nights, to get acclimatised to the altitude, & then probably flown straight out after the game on Fri.

I think a few stars stay there when appearing at the Cliffs Pavilion. I remember Gene Pitney saying he loved Southend and looking over the "ocean" from his penthouse suite and how he enjoyed the view. He sure knew how to masage the locals ego.

Haven't had a meal there(apart from breakfast) so can't comment.But I can definitly recommend a room with a seaview.Stayed there last season with the missus for the Leicester game.:excellent:
Bar staff aren't very friendly though.Snobby in fact.:finger:
