The FA Trophy is already well underway, with the Preliminary Round and three Qualifying Rounds already completed.

We enter at the Third Round Proper stage, with ties to be played on 7th December. The Second Round is on 16th November and so the draw will take place on the following Monday, 18th November.

There is certainly a picture of Vic Jobson with the magnificent Essex Thames-Side Trophy galleon around.

Blues won the competition in 1989/90, beating Redbridge Forest, 4-1, in the final. We were also finalists in 1982/83 (lost 1-0 to Clapton), 1988/89 (lost 3-2 to Grays Athletic) and 1998/99 (lost 2-1 to Ford United).

A novel memento of the occasion was the presentation to the teams of a pair of crested gold cuff-links for each player instead of the usual medals.
